in his signature he has a link to a thread

how do i mimick that for my signature

Do you mean how you can use a custom text for a jsp link?

That would be:

[URL=jsp link]custom text[/URL]


Example:

This only works with jsp links, outside links can not be masked.

Just copy paste the link into your sig and it'll become clickable!

Or do you mean by like clicking the picture in his sig and it links to a thread? If so, I don't know how to do that one :(

Using an image as a mask for a link works like this:
