Ran a 200fcr/142fhr vita fb setup for years back in the day. Hitting the 142 bp would ensure you get an extra hit in any sort of tie when stomping. Did the fhr changes really make it so you don’t get any real advantage hitting the next bp? Even with the changes wondering if someone running 105fcr/60fhr going against a 200fcr/142 fhr setup would lose all h2h stomps significantly or since there’s no fhr lock is it at worst 1 extra shot in which case the extra life you gain having the slower setup off sets all of it and more?

Yes, I have tested against 105/142 and 200/142. I found no sigificant difference between the 60 and 142 unfortunately. Part of it has to do with the significant life a 105 has, mine (44lifers, everything else perfect) hits 4802 life. The only time fhr made a difference was when a lower life setup was being used. So if running 200, with lower life, then more fhr is beneficial. My cold sorc is around 3450 life vs fire. In that setup I do run 86fhr over my normal 60 because you do notice the fhr difference.

That all makes sense, still feel like if you were to be up against an equally geared opponent that opted for the higher breakpoints those extra few hits could be more important than the extra life.

What’s your life like with the above 200fcr/60fhr setup?

I'm right around 4k (just under), I think if I respec (so no strength needed) to just 200fcr I would be 4.1k?
And the testing I did was against someone with high end gear as well. There did not seem to be a difference with fhr, but I was winning with the extra life

Welcome to do more testing, I was surprised that there wasn't a larger difference when dueling a 142fhr

Just bought everything for this char..

Cost roughly 50k fg. + Obsession rerolls idk how many I did. Maybe few thousand fg worth

Sounds like come ladder reset you will need to get some duels in, can't let that fg go to waste!
And yes, the higher end lifer armor setup is expensive. Can use enigma/coh setup and a lower obsession and still be competitive.
I had spent 20k on my 3/3 25/70 obsession early on and traded it and another 15k for my current obsession: eth 3/3/1ca 25/70/30
