I used to drive through this city (or is it a town) on the highway, I always had to roll up the window because of the smell of cow manure. But it's a nice place, but more specifically, its real estate market isn't as saturated as elsewhere in BC. Plus there is the university of Fraser Valley, it's right in the city center, very easy to get to and I have always wanted to go back to school. I will be apartment-hunting soon, at first I will obviously be renting, and then I will start to seriously look at some houses.

I don't have the financial resources to buy a house outright, but I feel that if I get a degree in something useful, and then finding a job that pays well should be easy. And then I should be able to afford a mortgage. I really think that moving to Abbotsford is my only shot at owning a single detached house. It's almost impossible in Vancouver and the surrounding. If not houses then I will also consider a duplex or even a fourplex.

Is there anybody here from Abbotsford or nearby?

Do you really enjoy making these troll posts that much? The average home price in Abbotsford is over 1.1M.

How is it trolling to aspire to home ownership?

And yes, Abbotsford homes are still expensive but they cheaper than in the lower mainland. If I get a good job, and assuming that I have saved up enough down payment, it should be possible...

Currently, dishwasher. However, I am considering enrolling in the university of Fraser Valley. If I do get accepted, I will choose a major very carefully. I want to pick something useful, something that will help me get a good job after graduation.

Consider nursing

Reasonable cost of education, easily land a job, well paying

Your aspirations will come true
