I don't disagree with the move, but having to trade the 1st overall pick 5 years later because he sucks and his contract is even worse can't be a win imo

Mann would be a nice piece in the backcourt next to Maxey. Great defender who moves well off the ball and is a really efficient scorer (62% TS last season). He'd certainly embrace the move as he would get a bigger opportunity with more minutes. I'd imagine he could give em 12-15 PPG on good efficiency.

More importantly, he's on a cheap contract through 2024-25 only paying him like $10M a year. Morey wants to maintain cap flexibility, so this wouldn't impact that much and Mann could easily be traded later if needed.
