I like the first two episodes, but I have not seen manga or anime.

Started episode one. Idk what to say. I'll finish it, def is better then the other netflix live adaptations

I’ve since finished all 8 ep and (no spoilers)

- they capture the spirit of most characters and you can tell Oda was involved in the picks
- they hit the emotional notes well from the first few arcs
- actor pick for Luffy is perfect
- the cgi is done really well. Like the way they did live action on some of these devil fruits is just super slick. Especially Buggy god damn is he amazing here

It actually made me go back and reread manga moments. It’s a great adaption IMO - not perfect, but very enjoyable at least a solid 7-8/10

I'll agree with this. But I am only on episode 3. Some of the fighting is a little cringe for me. [Esp first battle in E1]

Also watching in sub, worried how bad it might sound in English.

I think they did well. Mortal Kombat kinda sucked [the new one], in retrospect of how decent this has been so far. I think there will be a continuation. Also better then Cowboy Beebop LA 😂

It's really cringe, but it's probably the best live action adaption we have. Wish they'd chill on those in your face close ups though 😂

Also seeing the communication snails was horror, they used to be kinda cute lol.

Yea, they are gross.

It's not awful like most,but what I expected to happen even with good effort happened,one peace has that light goofiness to it,but this isn't there in the LA

I'm curious how they are going to do Kaido v Luffy, especually current happenings.
