Looking to get back into WOW can someone give me some words of motiviation? How are arenas right now? Is pvp gear actually useful this xpac or are PVErs just face rolling PVPers still? Is world pve balanced at all?

Classic is dead, retail is dead, majority of players are playing HC vanilla wow right now (literally stupidest thing ever)

Pvp in both games is dead; only solo shuffle exists

How can you say it's stupid when there's hundreds of thousands comin back to gamin it. It's nostalgic and super fun. Keeps ya on your toes and tests game knowledge and mechanics. Hardcore is alive in any game. Diablo. Poe. Runescape. People play it for the rush and now it's wows turn. Just cuz you suck doesn't mean it's stupid :)

Vanilla wow has 0 skill to play, fun aspect based on community sure

But it’s probably the most bland version of the game ever, I’m not really a fan of hitting 2 buttons and sitting still

“Game mechanics” in a 20yr old expac = 💀

PvE is probably in one of the best balancing states its ever been in. Arenas are currently a bit scuffed but the new season will flush out a meta quickly. PvP gear scales in PvP combat to a higher item level than PvE gear, so yes it's good.
