i'm sure hardcore is a blast; i've only ever played wow for arena tho, skipped classic and played BC

retail and wotlk arenas both are horrendous, i'm sure official HC will be fun and/or classic re-launch will be > retail and wotlk (both failures imo)

said HC was dumb because you just playing to level, ive never enjoyed leveling nor did i like classic wow (my opinion as someone who played wow for arena)

Go back to WOTLK classic and level but take your time and use the A.I. addon that reads every quest.

Changes the game completely. I skipped everything admittedly back in time, just pick the quest up and move on from the NPC without reading. Now i'm older with different interests and I don't need to just play at 80. Some of the quests are pretty good. Sure lots of repeating but overall that addon does an awesome job and makes for an enjoyable alternative to end-game.

Leveling is arguably the least fun thing in WoW.
End-game is all there is to WoW.

Yes, but in classic where its much longer with the addon reading off and voicing over in different voices it's pretty interesting actually.

Breaths a lot of life into it and in my opinion is definitely an alternative to end game content.

You have to enjoy story for that though and I very much enjoy a story these days as single player games vastly overtake multiplayer in my rankings.
