Why would I fund the missionaries? Thats precisely the point of not to fund them. Your god doesn't exist unless you spread him by donating money to the Church. The tribal people who never heard of him are proof god is a geographical and cultural story. If you grow up in a muslim household its almost a guaranteed you are becoming a muslim. Just like those people who never heard of your god will adopt their own spiritual deity or stories. You just so happened to be born into it and indoctrinated to think christian god is real. If you were born into a Sikh household you would be wearing a turban and telling me how your god is real.

He did show up. His name is Jesus. You would fund the Missionaries because you apparently care so much about them that you would actually do something about it. When you say god you are talking about idols and not the Christian God. That is why it matters.

You want to talk about upbringing? Let's get personal and talk about your family. Are your Mother and Father non-believers? Are your fellow siblings non-believers? What about your Grandparents? Are they also non-believers? How far does your non-believing family go?

Talk is cheap going to need proof. I do not care about missionaries stop putting words in my mouth. Clearly I hit a nail right in the head when I brought up that the only reason you worship a christian god is because of your upbringing.
Instead of acknowledging that your beliefs are not your own but merely instructed to believe them at a young impressionable age you begin deflecting the conversation towards my upbringing. Clearly upset over the fact that its true.

Just admit it already your christianity is as real as 1000's of other religions and the people who where groomed to believe them. It will be a weight of your shoulders. Then you can begin your journey as an independent thinker.
Here is an example of what you can do when you begin using your own thought. Bible can be summarized into a simple step "don't be a dick". No need to threaten people with eternal damnation or fabricate a non existent problem of sin and then offer a non existent solution belief in magical jesus. Just one step, its free and real no need to pray to any invisible entity.

A photo of Jesus who wasn't here during a time we had cameras?
Jesus in front of you in physical form?
Birth certificate of his birth?

Imagine making a claim and then going back on it when given exact similar examples of faith.

in my experience it happens a lot. maybe its always like this? i have even talked to 'atheists that claimed to be x-christian and they didnt understand the significance of "G" "g"

God has revealed himself through His Son, Jesus. Let's talk about not just my upbringing but the upbringing of other people's testimonies. Sure they said that they were brought up in a Christian Household but around the late teenage Years they have all said the same thing, which is them asking "Is what I have been told my whole life really true?" So they think for themselves. They are starting University around this age and they join a Bible Study Group. It is here they ask the questions and then they join a week long camp full of University students during the break. It is at the camp where their belief is truly solidified. These are the people who went out with the other believers and asked all the questions, saw how the Christians lived out their daily lives and were truly transformed.

So when you say it is based on upbringing that is only half true. There comes a time when that child grows up and starts thinking for themselves and starts questioning all they learned. Yet what if at this point in time the Gospel still held up? The key difference between Christianity and all the other Religions? It's that Christianity will encourage you to question as it will have an answer at every point brought up. No doubt you have seen how we can respond to you with any Bible verse. Other Religions the people are told not to ask questions or question what it is they were brought up. Imagine that you are told that you cannot question Quran 4:34 where it talks about Husbands able to Strike the wife?

You can talk about how the Bible can be summarized into a simple step "don't be a dick". Have you seen the world today? Are you even aware of the war in Ukraine and Russia? Are you even aware of the war in Iran taking place right now, causing oil prices to skyrocket? You can try to talk about how we don't need the Bible to be good but the state of the world right now greatly disagrees with you. I would much rather go by what the reality of the ground says as opposed to what someone from New Zealand has said on a forum.
