I have read the help topics it says just "sElEct a DifFeRenT one" and there isn't a list of my characters. I wanted to try a mage. I must not know how to play because I have to fight a wasp and something else every time I go into the catacombs and die over and over and over. There is no way to fight anything else or get stronger, there is no way to pick a different character and the "tutorial" doesn't help. The pictures that are displayed are literally not the same thing as what I get when I log in. Please help.

Just a heads up: if you don’t initially invest some fg into this game you’re almost guaranteed to quit before you ever make it past a few levels. This game is not friendly at all to beginners starting with no gear.

I suggest taking a look at this guide to give you a basic understanding of the game. I’d also advise against playing anything other than a Barbarian (this would be my preference) or a Fighter for your first run through the game.

Np. That guide is a bit dated, especially the part about making fg. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. I more than likely have some beginner gear I can give you (or sell cheap, depending on what it is).

For now, I’d recommend buying a Tier III weapon, armor, and charm on the MP. I have a 15 str charm I can put up for 1 fg for you. You’d then want to look for an armor with 10-15 str, and then look for either a sword or an axe with 50% Enhanced Effect or so. Should be able to get all of that for 3-10fg total.
