Canada has a history of harboring extremists which is a fact and is not disputed. We have discussed at length Deschênes commission when saucy was around. This incident enabled Ukranian Swastika Jew Murdering Nazis to immigrate into Canada and settle (https://jacobin.com/2023/12/canada-ukrainian-nationalists-socialists-history-anti-communism-nazi-collaborators). Fiasco with one of Nazi collaborators getting invited to Canadian parliament earlier last year is a fact and speaker of the parliament had to resign over this. I hope they end up deporting this Hunka guy back to Poland to face justice over his war crimes.

Same goes for extreme far right cults like Falun Dafa (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCgSp5Y8neg) which is allowed to operate out of Canada unhindered or World Tamil Movement (designated as terrorists by Canada lol and still allowed to operate!) which literally has a headquarter in Toronto and promotes Tamil terrorism that messed up Sri Lanka for decades, butchering and murdering civilians (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Tamil_Movement). I’ve been to Sri Lanka recently and had a pleasure of having a dinner at my friends place in Colombo with whom I studied. He went at length into atrocities these monsters were committing. Glad it is over now and they lost.

It really evades me why Canadian government continues to harbour all these people. All Canadians I know in my personal life are some of the best people I’ve ever met. Kind, gentle, educated, smart, hardworking. Yet Canada insists on importing the most extreme of far right terrorists from all over the world that spew propaganda and fund wars from abroad.

Canada is too tolerant, ill grant you that much. Id still prefer it to Russia where you cant exactly build a personality around "fuck putin" flags the way some people have done with trudeau and now carney .

I think I there is difference between “tolerance” and support of far right ideologies through inaction.

We all here in the West agree that fascism is problematic to say the least, as it disenfranchises individual freedoms in favour of the corporations and generally does away with human rights. If you sprinkle it up with racial theory, start measuring cranial circumferences and separating people into orcs and humans ubermensch and untermensch you devolve into downright nazism. And that is literally what is happening right now before our eyes in your posts.

There seems to be a fascination with far right ideologies among fresh immigrants landing in Canada for decades now. Extremist organizations allowed to run and operate unhindered. They are not explicitly targeting Canada government, so why should Canada care what they did back home, right? Teehee.
