Tarrifs on India and Brazil. would could possibly go wrong. This is basically inviting them to move further from the US, also the US has repeatedly demonstrated it is NOT a friend of India, using the failed state of Pakistan to keep India down. smh fml.

Not sure this belongs in Russia/Ukraine. Perhaps we need to start a new Multipolarity / BRICS thread.

Multipolarity. How do you start a thread about a non-existent thing, except all the religion sh*t of course?

There is no deyning that contemporary geopolitics is moving away from the unipolar world order of 1991-201X, and has been doing so for quite some years. BRICS isn't an ideologically or geopolitically aligned bloc yet.

Nonetheless, ferdia is absolutely right that it is moronic, from a Western geopolitical perspective, to alienate and push away the two most important "bloc free" powers in Brazil and India.

In my ever growing list of documented war crimes with footage on both ukraine and russia's side we have today
a video of someone behind Russian lines who is very clearly a civilian, riding a bicycle, waving a large white flag when approached by a Ukrainian drone. When its only 20 feet away or so he gets off his bike and stops and waves the white flag instead of trying to run or dodge it, they face off for about 20 seconds as it hovers next to him, and then the Ukrainian drone pilot flies into him and kills him
could not be much more obvious and purposeful targeted killing of a surrendering non-combatant, and probably a "former Ukrainian citizen" given the location

BRICS is by far the worst conspiracy theory.

At least the jewish space laser was entertaining.

Donald Trump has said that he has deployed nuclear-capable submarines to the “appropriate regions” in response to a threatening tweet by Russia’s former president Dmitry Medvedev, suggesting that he would be ready to launch a nuclear strike as tensions rise over the war in Ukraine. In a post on Truth Social on Friday, Trump wrote that he had decided to reposition the nuclear submarines because of “highly provocative statements” by Medvedev, noting he was now the deputy chairman of Russia’s security council.

Earlier this week, Medvedev had attacked Trump for shortening his timeline for Russia to make progress toward peace with Ukraine from 50 days down to just 10, saying that he was ready to impose sanctions and other financial penalties against Russia if it didn’t comply. “Trump’s playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10,” Medvedev wrote in a post. “He should remember 2 things: 1. Russia isn’t Israel or even Iran. 2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country.

In some ways it's the natural outcome of an empire that's losing its grasp. China's trade with Brazil has eclipsed the US. They wont sacrifice that simply to appease the US, and if i was a Brazilian i wouldn't want it so.
If i was Brazilian i would want both the giants to compete for my markets, natural resources, etc. in a fair way, one that benefits me domestically.

As far as India, i think Indians are smart enough to not burn bridges that have lasted decades (with the Russians) and commit seppuku by giving up discounted Russian oil. Like taking a step back, how fucking ridiculous does it sound to dictate to a country that they cannot import energy for 50-55 dollars a barrel but instead have to pay 70. In what world would a country of 2 billion say, yeah we will comply and pay 20-30% more for a critical input because the hegemon said so?

Imagine if Russia told the US - We are putting 2 MORE submarines off your coast line. We are not happy with your threatening words so we are going to make threatening actions.

some serious heavy messing going on. where did diplomacy go
