Meanwhile, thousands of British Army soldiers with pumped-up prostates are heading towards the "nice testing grounds".
And just like that, our mountain buddy vanished. Coincidence? Hardly.

Following Russian strikes on army mobilisation centres across Ukraine, the mobilisation centre in Vinnytsia relocates to the local hospital.

A U.S. official confirmed to CBS News on Wednesday that shipments of some munitions, including 155mm artillery rounds and precision guided GMLRS rockets, which had been paused by the Pentagon about a week earlier, had resumed flowing to Ukraine. The resumption comes after President Trump said earlier this week that additional defensive weapons would be sent to Ukraine.

"We're going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves," Mr. Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday night. He said the shipments would consist of "defensive weapons, primarily."

I’m very disappointed with the conversation I had today with President Putin, because I don’t think he’s there. I’m just saying, I don’t think he’s looking to stop, and that’s too bad,” Trump told reporters Thursday, adding earlier in the day that he made “no progress” in brokering a potential ceasefire deal between the two Eastern European countries.

Seems like good news for the Ukrainians. That being said, Russia is absolutely hammering em with drones lately.

So theres a great debate on the ol military forums right now. The linked article below states that russia is apparently scrapping its only aircraft carrier, and its doing this because its not vital to its current military doctrine, and therefore Russia has no need for her.

One side says that russia is too poor/incompetent to maintain the carrier, and the other side says that floating boomer mobiles are a relic of the past that are too easily targeted by the age of drone warfare.

Adm. Sergei Avakyants, the former commander of Russia’s Pacific Fleet, told Izvestia that the Russian Navy “does not need aircraft carriers in their classic form in the long term.” Describing aircraft carriers as “a thing of the past,” Avakyants said that they “can be destroyed in a few minutes by modern weapons.”

“It is a very expensive and ineffective naval weapon,” Avakyants continued. “The future belongs to carriers of robotic systems and unmanned aircraft. And if a decision is made not to continue the repairs, the only thing left to do is to take the Admiral Kuznetsov, cut it up for metal, and dispose of it.”

Carriers are only useful if accompanied by an armada of other vessels/destroyers and you are basically going against a relatively undeveloped adversary i.e. houthis.

What current warfare has show though, is they are high value, highly visible, very slow targets, that between two somewhat equally powered combatants would be gone very fast.

Smaller more versatile destroyers/subs IMO are better ROI now.

Trump announces novel plan to send weapons to Ukraine and gives Russia new deadline to make peace

President Donald Trump on Monday laid out a pair of steps intended to pressure Russia to end its war in Ukraine, including funneling new weapons to Kyiv and threatening economic punishment on Moscow if peace isn’t reached in 50 days, as he grows increasingly disenchanted with his Russian counterpart.

I felt we had a deal about four times,” Trump said, referring to a prospective peace agreement with Russia. “But it just kept going on and on.”
