Something else, Russia admitted Nord Korea's involvement in the Kursk fight.
Russia has officially acknowledged the involvement of North Korean troops in the conflict over the Kursk region. On April 26, 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov confirmed that North Korean forces had participated alongside Russian troops in expelling Ukrainian forces from the region. This marks the first official Russian confirmation of North Korea's military involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
Estimates from various sources, including the Pentagon and South Korean intelligence, suggest that North Korea deployed between 10,000 and 14,000 troops to support Russia in Kursk. These troops reportedly suffered significant casualties, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stating that over 3,000 North Korean soldiers were killed or wounded.
