d2 lod NOT d2r

an old guide on here says that dragon talon kick speed is increased by ias but only on non-weapon gear
the weapon base speed matters though...
has that changed at all? meaning does weapon ias add to the kick speed or not?

please let me know

Ur phase blade is -30wsm.
It has no ias anyway. Because its a lw.

Ur setup need a total ias of 46 for last attack break.
18 ias will give you the second last attack speed break.
This is assuming you run fade instead of bos. And that no fana aura is active.

LW is not really a good wepon for kicksin.
Yes it has high CB which is good. it has LT which is fine , but ctc amplify damage is better.

I prefer stormlash build. Which needs 95 ias if ur running fade, else you can just use a bos build incase u do not need resists.
But i prefer to use it as a 95ias build, use BOS for regular pvm to counter slow forms and then use fade vs uber meph.

I understand but what I was asking is if the weapon ed plays a role...YouTube and guides on here say it doesn't but those are from years ago so isk

Wepon ed does not matter.
The might from lw matters, but very little due to the way kick damage formula is.

Kick damage formula:
MinDamage= (str + dex - 20) / 4 * (100 + skill_bonus) / 100 + BootMinDam * (100 + (str * StrBonus / 100) + skill_bonus + non_weapon ED + Aura_bonus) / 100
MaxDamage=(str + dex - 20) / 3 * (100 + skill_bonus) / 100 + BootMaxDam * (100 + (str * StrBonus / 100) + skill_bonus + non_weapon ED + Aura+bonus) / 100

Based on this formula you can see that wepon ED does not matter. And that strenght and skillbonus(such as skill itself and tiger strike) is the big bonuses.

But ur orginal question was about ias. In which case every form of ias helps. (exluding offhand wepon, but offhand shield will work)

The only thing that changed in the attack speed scenario with kicks is the lack of opportunity to wsm bugging ur claws.
