pretty sure some of the people of eastern ukraine that were bombed for 8 years by their fellow countrymen 2014-2022 dont fall into the "it would be best for everybody" category. I must admit im glad the US is not steamrolling towards WW3 under Trump. What I dont understand is how is it that over 2 decades Russia has managed to resolve 6994 border disputes along its eastern borders, instead of invading those countries. I thought Russia wanted the USSR back. im confused what is it about europe that has Russia hankering for supposed imperial aspirations? surely its not Nato enlargement, that cant be it, its not as if Russia said this was the problem for the last 20 years......so confusing.
1) Eastern Ukraine wasnt bombed by Ukraine, this is fake Russia news.
2) nobody wants WW3, the best way to prevent it is to assist Ukraine defend themselves, so that Russia doesnt grow into empire and dont start WW3.
3) USSR bankrupted around year 1990, after that some nice people tried to reform Russia, so that Russia was nicer than usual for a while. They were simply in a chaos for a while.
4) Russia changes its mind and that's the problem. Some time ago they said its fine for Ukraine to go their way, even join NATO.
5) you live on an island but still in Europe, you know the people, the politics here. You probably travelled to continental Europe also, probably have friends on the continent. Can you REALLY imagine european countries would ever attack Russia and Russia is in danger of invasion? Stop joking pls, Europeans only care about making money, having a luxurious life. We even rely on Americans to defend us, lol.
NATO was made to defend against Russia, because no solo european country stands a chance against Russia so we had to unite as 1 military block.
