lol
Russia is winning the war, Trump made it clear that he's NOT going to jeopardize the US for any other country and that he wants an end to this shit war, Zelensky has been told he needs to accept the reality on the battlefield.
So the Russians get what they want but then decide that this is a good moment to target a nuclear plant they never wanted because that radiation emitting pile of ruble is a useless money sink and a liability.
Worst Ukrainian propaganda stunt ever. They were quite good at it at the beginning but this is laughable SMH
Shelling Chernobyl to take it makes no sense. Shelling it to trigger a nuclear incident and frighten the Western partners during the MSC would make a lot more sense; for either Ukraine or Russia, depending on your priors. If you believe that the Europeans are scared little puppies without a backbone, it makes sense to assume that a nuclear incident would cause them to panic and get on board for a quick peace, even if it's one on Russian terms. If you believe that the Europeans are selfish and complacent slackers who have the means, but lack the willpower to stand up to Russia, it makes sense to assume that a reckless Russian attack on a NPP would rally them against Russia. For now, I would rule out neither Russian responsibility nor a false flag by Ukraine.
Side note: Chernobyl is located in a much more sparsely populated area of Ukraine, so the potential risk for them from nuclear fallout would be much smaller in Chernobyl than it was at the Zaporizhzhia NPP which is located smack bang in the middle of the country. And Ukraine is far more desperate now than they were one or two years ago. That's why I am now more open to the idea of a Ukrainian false flag than I was back then.
