Loving all the Itsoverism in this thread  . Meanwhile, useful idiots and Kremlin puppets are falling for the blue cow fantasies. The real question is—how furious will they be when all the hype amounts to nothing? Is there enough copium to keep them from completely losing it?

Im starting to think the venn diagram of orc lovers and maggats is probably a circle

Nope, we see a pattern. Afghanistan left like nothing, Kurds left like nothing, now Ukraine left like nothing. Patnership with the US, be the useful idiot then get thrown away as if you never knew each other.
Nope, I don't like Putin's cleptocracy and wouldn't like to live over there but you can't convince me he is an immediate threat like Adolf Hitler in 1939 and he is going to conquer Europe. Even if that's the case, I'd look for a solution to buy time and arm myself/partners to the teeth.

It's much more dire than 'nothing' in other interventions. Toppling Saddam, led to his army remnants the Ba'athists to serve as the backbone of Daesh/ISIS. Our actions quite literally led to the formation of ISIS. NATO toppling of Libya has led to a completely destabilized failed state that's basically been in a civil war for a decade now. Libya now is a huge hub of human trafficking. So many African migrants in Europe directly came through Libya.

Ukraine is at risk of having a power vacuum that could get filled by some nasty people. Its natural resources could be pledged as payment for arms, basically draining the country of whatever leftover wealth, only for them to continue to fight and hemorrhage people as people keep leaving the country.

I mentioned the recent events for the people with the short memory span.

Did Zelensky lose track of another S-300?

The Ukrainians found a completely intact geran2 engine, so it was obviously the Russians trying to blow up chernobyl in an act of symbolism i suppose.

lol

#trust me bro

It's also a total coincidence that it corresponds to the Munich security conference where you see the US trying to pull back from the Ukraine war.

lol

Russia is winning the war, Trump made it clear that he's NOT going to jeopardize the US for any other country and that he wants an end to this shit war, Zelensky has been told he needs to accept the reality on the battlefield.

So the Russians get what they want but then decide that this is a good moment to target a nuclear plant they never wanted because that radiation emitting pile of ruble is a useless money sink and a liability.

Worst Ukrainian propaganda stunt ever. They were quite good at it at the beginning but this is laughable SMH

Shelling Chernobyl to take it makes no sense. Shelling it to trigger a nuclear incident and frighten the Western partners during the MSC would make a lot more sense; for either Ukraine or Russia, depending on your priors. If you believe that the Europeans are scared little puppies without a backbone, it makes sense to assume that a nuclear incident would cause them to panic and get on board for a quick peace, even if it's one on Russian terms. If you believe that the Europeans are selfish and complacent slackers who have the means, but lack the willpower to stand up to Russia, it makes sense to assume that a reckless Russian attack on a NPP would rally them against Russia. For now, I would rule out neither Russian responsibility nor a false flag by Ukraine.

Side note: Chernobyl is located in a much more sparsely populated area of Ukraine, so the potential risk for them from nuclear fallout would be much smaller in Chernobyl than it was at the Zaporizhzhia NPP which is located smack bang in the middle of the country. And Ukraine is far more desperate now than they were one or two years ago. That's why I am now more open to the idea of a Ukrainian false flag than I was back then.
