Probably 25 cents on the dollar actually made it to the intended purpose while the rest was looted both in the US as well as in Ukraine. If i had to guess, there was a fair amount of newly minted millionaires in that part of the world which found their way to Spain.

War is always good for the grifters. Just for the record, though: Russia isn't exactly known as a beacon of anti-corruption, their military spending will have gotten them far less than 100 kopeks on the rouble as well.

I think the grift is not as bad in Russia simply because they don’t have th e bottomless pit that Ukraine had. They can’t simply continue to print their way to a win like we can here. Were much more careless about spend here. You think Russia can afford 50mil for Gaza condoms? No chance when your currency isn’t the global reserve.

They've been talking about this for years, how Ukrainian Mobiks were being given broken AK's and the Police in Kiev were kitted out with the latest gear like $10,000 scopes they don't need, and presumably go missing idk why else would they have them?

I vaguely recall the U.S. Media making up a completely fake story about Russia putting bounties on U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
As far as 'Child Soldiers' I know I have a webm somewhere of a checkpoint in Ukraine early in the war with a couple of 10 year olds dressed in cammo with wooden Ak's

I was talking about defense spending though, not general spending on social services, foreign aid and that kind of stuff. At the start of this war, there were a lot of articles about how the underperformance of the Russian military - in spite of the modernization it had allegedly undergone during the previous years - was because most of that money had gone into the pockets of oligarchs or corrupt generals.

It really was just a cobbled together invasion, had Biden never gone out in Public and announced he was fast tracking Ukraine into NATO, Russia never would of Invaded.
