I'm trying to find irrefutable evidence of the Earth's spherical shape and heliocentric design.
If someone posts a question or answer that you disagree with, reply with a valid counterpoint or don't reply at all.
Please do not post unless you have something relevant to contribute. I ask that you be polite and respectful of EVERYONE who posts here, regardless of how dumb you think their question/answer is. If you're truly flabbergasted that this is even a question, then I expect you'll be able to provide this evidence with ease.
I have not been able to find a place where people discuss this rationally. In forums and comment sections, both sides are just insulting and laughing at each other.
I started my research into Flat Earth with the intention to prove them wrong, but after reading all the points and counterpoints, they have a fair argument for the flat earth model. People on both sides will argue aggressively and with zealous fervor that what they believe is correct and the other side is wrong, but for me I don't care who is right or wrong it's just a fun thing to look into when I have spare time. It's less fun when nobody is providing questions/answers/rebuttals and everybody is just slinging insults.
Things I'm interested in seeing: (off the top of my head...)
1. Images showing the curvature of the Earth that is not a composite or taken with a "fish eye" lens. If possible provide the source of the image (who took the photo)
2. Images of the Earth from far enough away to make out enough landmass showing that is different from the flat earth map.
3. Credible testimony from one of the (roughly) 500 people who have traveled into space. (this should be the easiest)
4. Evidence of satellites existing in the thermosphere, Flat Earthers seem to believe there are just balloons up there and not satellites.
5. Any other evidence you can provide...
These are not things that I've looked into too much myself, I'm asking you to do it for me... Well I'll also be looking into these things myself over the coming days/weeks. I don't claim to know or believe that the Earth is flat or that it is a sphere, I simply want to collect evidence that is very difficult to rebut.
