Hey all!

I'm currently experimenting with Gems in order to wear some non mainstream fashion.
When I socketed an Antler Druid Pelt with a perfect Amethyst, the result was a light, jarring purple. Then I tried socketing Antler Pelts with a flawless, a standart and a chipped Gem.
The three results seemed to look identical, here is a picture:

Gem quality from left to right: chipped, standart, flawless, perfect

Am I just colorblind or do non perfect Gems always create the same shade of color?

It seems you are correct!

I didn't bother to take the time to buy 5 x socketed of each these helmets. But it is like this: The top left cap and skull cap, both have 1 x perfect topaz in each. The ones below them, have 1 x chipped topaz in each. There is a distinct difference. Fun catch boy!

In this sticky, are many guides.

Among them, is this item color guide. It is quite complex, but fun stuff:

That is why this is my game #1. So many little details. Newer games are all graphics and no depth, like this game has.

It's a shame Set items won't change color if you socket them, though. For instance, Arctic set should be blue.

Dont tell me, to me Diablo 2 is the perfect game, and I would not need any other game in my whole life.

If it werent for dupes and bots. I am not without sin, and botting/scripting can be as much fun as playing Diablo, but just in general. In a perfect world, where no bots/Dupes/hacks/cheats existed, Diablo 2 would definitely be the best game ever to exist. I love it. I quit it, and always come back to it :)

What Dupes/Bots destroyed is the dream of the feeling of building a selffound legit enigma or infinity or all the amazing stuff. With the old rune drop rates it could take you about 2 years of playing until you could build such an item. The feeling would be so awesome, to show it off in public games and possibly no one there has actually SEEN a non-sorc teleporting O_O

This has been around for a while, often used by scammers who, instead of selling you that Tal Armor will instead sell you a gothic plate with an amethyst in a socket. Or instead of a hq shako will give you a socketed plain one with an emerald in it.
