?? You can go against anything as bvc exept other barb. BvA make some duel easier but it doesnt mean you can't do it as bvc.
What the point of this anyway, you want to use a shield on your bvc ? Go for it then, useless and not needed but go for it.
Unless you realise you'll need to stats dext to get maxblock and turn into a BvA.

What so strange ? You use a barb with a shield (assuming you got maxblock) then you are a BvA. Since when a BvA can't take their shield off ? You can't swith to beast against nec ? "Confused."
When would you use shield anyway ?
Main reason is against ama team ? Fun duels, bvc can do it but its risky and sometimes boring), if serious duel use bva, anyway with your "BvC + Shield" you will lack of block. Main work as barb in on tvt is leap whoring, not really what for this guide is made but what ever.
In 1v1 against zon? Can be done w/o block.
In 1v1 against barb ? If someone is dumb enough to take bvb seriously flame him and brb hdin. (not to mention, gl with "BvC shield" thing against 0 fcr forti super skilled bvb)
What else ?..
