Not really.
BvA Barb always has a shield on.

BvC with a MB setup requires little to no dex.

I use a 2-20-2 with base dex/ar with dex/str/ar jewels in it.
2-25 Shadow Dancers
2x20 dex ravens
2-20-dex-life ammy
20 ias/15 dex/15 str gloves
eld'd ss

I am mb with almost no dex added.

So a Barbarian with a shield setup = BvA?

Confused.

I don't see any BvA take their shield off.

you can gear up a bvc with a shield setup and use all those +dex items, then you are a bvc with a shield.
or you can build around dex so you don't use shitty items while using a stormshield, then you are bva.

bva can also switch to grief/beast for matchups they don't need the shield in, although of course being not stat'd for that means they have less hp than a bvc type build.

higher hp being the better thing on 2x axe for bvc, not using shitty items to get max block being the better thing about w/s for bva.

edit: I didn't even main barbs, why am I explaining bva vs bvc.
although I suppose I did enjoy playing them as well.
DHA you have to explain the differences between ghost and hybrid next time someone makes one of those threads <.<

BvC = Vita Barb
BvA = Barb with dex for mb statted

You can still use a BvA in fpk without a shield, the higher AR you get for statting extra dex can potentially make up for the loss of HP, especially vs shouted opponents.
