This was always one of my favorite assassin skills, but it never seemed that useful I'd be interested to duel a sin like this, even if it does seem like an easy kill.

outside of town the character does exactly the same as a ghostsin who uses blade fury instead of WW
you just lock them with WOF/MB with teleport/sm, and once they are locked, rock them with ninja stars

it works ok, but its not as effective as a ghost. I can still easily compete in pubby duels, but that don't say much

Hey, Ceramic Weasel here from diii. Very interesting guide. I'm all about GM, fight-till-death duels out on the blood moore, so I'd never really considered this. It's nice to know Blade Sentinel is good for something.

My analysis at diii revolves entirely around BF, and began a couple of weeks before you posted this. Of course, I did weeks of tedious testing between work and exams, making sure all the math was perfect, etc. BF kind of sucks for PvP, though, because of AR issues, so I mostly ignored that application of the blade skills.

Anyway, for anyone who doubts the math behind this, check out the Blade Skill Modifiers Guide by onderduiker over at the Amazon Basin:

That was posted well over a year ago, but it's unclear whether anyone understood the crazy damage potential of these skills back then.

I'm still debating:
Chaos vs Fury.

With that setup, fury gives slightly higher sentinel, slightly lower blade fury, because of its deadly strike. Its other mods are awfully nice. Its a tough call TBH. The magic damage is excellent since it doesn't get reduced, but you get lower open wounds on fury, etc. Its a toss up either way. And the +20% AR is well. So either chaos or fury would work...

But the BEST claw for the build would look like this:

Rare Suwayyah:
+2 Assassin Skill Levels
+3 Blade Fury
+3 Venom
+3 whatever
450% enhanced damage
+250 attack rating
20% deadly strike (Lo)
+20 minimum damage
+20 maximum damage
Knockback
Ethereal

im looking at it and I think fury might honestly be better vs chaos

unless you switched it to use highlords, hrmm. But that huge deadly strike just about pushes it over, iunno
