Any updates on BiS 2-handed weapon changes?

I tried stacking off-weapon IAS on my Wolf to see if I can see animation increases using various weapons. It is hard to make out or test DPS because everything usually dies in 1-2 seconds too.

My Tombreaver has 40/15s in them and I don’t want to unsocket them as it would be a waste lol. So can’t test double Shael eTomb.

According to my calculations a 100ias tombreaver hit 3 frames pretty easy, meanwhile 95ias tombreaver need intenze ammount of offhand ias to reach 3 frames. I dont remember how much, i can check tomorrow. Maby not even possible with 3 frames if 95ias.

Using Shaels is a massive ED loss though. Tombreaver doesn’t have a whole lot to begin with.

5/3 is ~7.4 attacks per second.

7/4 is ~5.5 attacks per second.

137.25 base damage * 3.8 (280 ed%) is 521.5 weapon damage average
With two 40/15ias it’s 137.5 * 4.6 = 632.5

521.5 * 7.4 = 3859 damage per second
632.5 * 5.5 = 3478

So two shaels actually wins now in D2R provided you’re getting to 5/3 with it (or it may be 6/3 but that’s still more DPS). It doesn’t in original LoD because 6/4 is still less damage than 7/4 with 80 more weapon ed%.

What is the slow frame with that ias, 6 or 5 frame?

Yeah but I wonder if that's better than a 4 frame eBotD Thunder Maul, or Doom or Oath. I think a lot of things can hit 4 frames now.

If it was possible to hit 3 frames easily with 40/15s then nothing would change and everything just goes 1 frame faster. But losing 80%ED seems like a lot.

Checked, 5 with 0 other ias if SIAS 75.
So 3/3/3/3/5

But if u add 55 off wep ias its:
3/3/3/3/4

The prospect of increasing our weapon choices via OIAS is the most exciting thing in years lol.

Someone asked me about Tomb Reaver via PM and my response was:

“Apparently you need 55 ias with two shaels, based on gel’s math. I haven’t verified this yet so be aware of that. But to get 55 oias you will need highlords, 20 ias gloves, and a 15 ias jewel in your helm. I’d try crafting some 20 ias crushing blow gloves for this. So your 39/15 in a pelt or gface may be the new normal.”

Most salient point from that exchange is that pvp fury may be able to use 40/15 jewels finally, depending on the new higher breakpoints.
