wtf am i doing wrong?

Quote
For example:

(Shield
Base + Holy Shield bonus + Grief bonus) * (1 + Smite %ED bonus + STR
%ED bonus + Fanaticism %ED bonus + off-weapon %ED bonus) = Total damage

so: for shield base i just put 70, cause that was the max, and same for the HS bonus
the sheld base is
22-70
and the HS add is
125-128
i just chose the max, is that right?
(70 + 128 + 396)*(1+510+174+577+NO off-weapon ed)
594 * 1772
=1,052,568 WTF?

whats wrong? rofl

your problem is simple

I bolded the numbers you messed up on

those should be decimals, not the actual % numbers you see.

100% is not treated as 100, it's treated as 1.0

hope that clears this up.

awesome, exactly what i needed

I have one question: does range really work with smite????

You are hitting with a shield, how could the weap give you better range when you hit with the Shield???

Yes, it does.

As for your other question, ask bliz ~.~

I'm
gonna guess it's because the weapon is a sort of balance when the
paladin steps forward to smite, an anchor of sorts to keep him from
losing his balance when thrusting a shield forward. somehow this must
have inspired the weapon range to act for smite

oh, and you forgot about my question jai, which has actually branched off into two ~.~

1) what is the number for 6 frame smite ias wise? somewhere in the range of -60 to -80 I'll guess
2) fana works how exactly ias wise? I noticed someone say before that the number doesn't get stacked with other items, but instead actually increases the speed kind of like increasing mana or life (the number you have for ias is multiplied by 1.xx where xx indicates the ias% from fana) I am getting confused on this, as I realize I was oversimplifying it -.-
OR was I right in that the ias from fana just stacks with weapon base speed, non-weapon items' ias, etc.? ohmy.gif

i think im answering this right
but, with a zerk u need 50% ias to get the 6 fps, with lvl 27+ fana

and fana adds
attack speed %
not
increased attack speed, so it doesnt stack
just adds speed%

O. Sorreh
1) 84 ~.~
2) I've never heard that before.... all +%ias is listed the same so I imagine it IS all the same. Thus added to the rest, rather than "multiplied" to the other ias like battle orders is to life (ask korea on the subject. he's a # cruncher/technical detail guy, i'm not u.u)

Fanatacism's IAS is applied directly to the weapon's base attack speed, not added to your existing IAS. This means Fanatacism's IAS is much more valuable per percent than +x% Increased Attack Speed items.

k, now I'm totally confused.

could you give me an example as to how this works?

in fact, here we go.

40/400 grief berserker axe + 37% fana + 20% added from gear

could you show me exactly how the game calculates this ias? feel free to stray from english as much as you need, math is a strength of mine ^.~

I don't have the time (well, really the patience...) to determine the formula. This would take a lot of testing for me to arrive at an accurate formula.

I would suggest looking at the following page, as it appears to be accurate when determining IAS breakpoints with Fanatacism:

The IAS require depends on the weapon you are using and the level of Fanaticism you have active, if any.
Use the weapon speed calculator I linked in the post above yours.
