Offhands are „dead“ calculations wise, you will need same total ias for 9 FPA whatever offhand you use. It all comes down to what mainhand u use. The ww breakpoints still the same per claw, readable here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=56809861

No. You always want Fury, Cruel Claws or Fools Claws as mainhand. On top of that with the upcoming patch there is no use anymore of traps as a ghost with the fhr update. WoF wont be a good assist anymore, there are new better viable builts.

what i mean is, before you needed ias on EACH claw to hit the whirlwind breakpoint

for example you need 0 ias with each RT to hit 6.25 fpa ww per claw (12.5 in total) something like 9 for suwayyah and something like ~25 for war fist

so you're saying you no longer need ias on offhand claw to hit even the whirlwind breakpoint of 6.25? that doesnt make much sense to me tbh

whirlwind ias has always been calculated on each weapon individually, and weapon ias/wsm only, no ias from any source of items would affect whirlwind ias, fanatism wouldnt affect it, slow wouldnt effect it, holy freeze, golem, nothing would affect it.

it's still not clear to me if u still need offhand weapon ias to hit the 6.25 ww breakpoint or if you only need ias on the main claw to hit the 6.25 breakpoint on offhand too

As I already explained the ww breakpoints are the same for each claw. Nothing changed here, so you will still neeed on war fists 25+ias, suwayyahs and scissors suwayyah 15+ias and on runic talons 0ias to reach the max, 4 FPA ww breakpoints.

• Trap laying speed is determined by a combination of weapon type and IAS (increased attack speed) breakpoints. 9 FPA (frames per animation) is the fastest trap laying speed possible, while 4 FPA is the max for whirlwind
• Offhand IAS does not impact FPA anymore (listed in patch-notes under dual-wielding weapons)
• This means that the offhand-claw type is no longer relevant for the IAS-calculations (like a shield) and all offhand-claws can reach from now on the 9 FPA max. trap laying speed breakpoint
• The new required IAS for 9 FPA changes for every clawtype
• The 4 FPA max. whirlwind IAS breakpoint remains unchanged
• All versions of AWSM (average weapon speed modifier) have been removed from the game

New 9 FPA / IAS requirements

• Greater Talons / Runic Talons - 42 IAS
• Feral Claws - 63 IAS
• Suwayyah / Scissors Suwayyah - 125 IAS
• War Fist - 174 IAS

Check it out

• Open the D2R Assassin IAS-calculator: http://d2r-sin-ias.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com
• Choose mainhand (for example Feral Claws)
• Choose no offhand
• Check the below listed table for 9 FPA
• You realize that you will need 63 IAS 9 FPA with Feral Claws mainhand now (before patch 2.4 you could use Feral Claws mainhand and Runic Talons or Greater Talons offhand and only needed 52 IAS)

New Claw-Meta

• Trapsin: Mainhand [Trap Claws] Greater Talons or Runic Talons + Offhand [Trap Claws] any clawtype
• Hybsin/Spidersin: Mainhand [Fury/Cruel/Fools Claws] Runic Talons + Offhand [Chaos Claws] Suwayyah or Scissors Suwayyah
• Ghostsin: Mainhand [Cruel/Fools Claws] War Fist + Offhand [Chaos Claws] Suwayyah or Scissors Suwayyah

Nice to know

• Suwayyah and Scissors Suwayyah bases (especially perfect ones) will probably dramatically increase in price, because of a higher request
• Runic Talons and Greater Talons bases will probably decrease a bit in value, since they will be only solid fury bases (mainhand) and not anymore also good chaos bases (offhand) compared to the high damage bases like Suwayyah
• Battle Cestus / Wrist Sword / Feral Claws will probably decrease in value as well as they are not optimal claws anymore and near impossible to reach 9 FPA trap laying speed
• All types of slow offhand claws (for example 5ls 5mb suwayyah) will be useable again from now on and as a result their price should increase aswell
• Cruel and especially Fools Claws will be more important, because the updated Martial Arts and Blade Abilities can miss now and are dependent on mainhand weapon damage and attack rating

Importance of Attack Rating

• 3 following examples (1850def, 7000def, 10000def)
• AR = Own Attack Rating
• D = Opponent Defense
• LVL = Own Character Level
• DLVL = Opponent Character Level
• Chance = Chance to hit the opponent
