I'm wondering why you did not mention the use of lightning bolt vs smiters/vts. In that match up you have to combine both fury and bolt in order to success.

Not sure who's paladin you're dueling that doesn't have maximum lightning resistance
But generally converting all of your physical damage into lightning is just a bad idea vs something with stacked resistance and 80% or above max res ^^

Stick with physical vs paladins
* Physical damage can only be reduced by 50%
* Elemental is commonly reduced 75% and easily reduced by more if someone wants to be a jerk

Not for lightning damage but for the fact that LB cannot be blocked and has ITD (it means 100% chance to Kb) make it essential vs chargesmiters & variants.

Yes, the lightning bolt cannot be blocked (which is why it would appear that it had more frequent knockbacking)
But that is not how it works at all:

A knockback mod (such as on knockback gloves) only provides 50% to knockback
You would need a second knockback mod such as on WF or a Giant Skull to achieve 100% knockback

You're strategy is a great idea against paladins who like to keep charging in a straight line at you
However the better Paladins will not do this at all
Better Paladins will often run rings around you and know how to desynch heavily (not to mention desynched telestomps)
They generally leave you a 1/2 second gap to actually hit them (when they spiral in at you)
Before they re-enter this ring around the rosie phase where you can't even see them *due to desynch*

I highly advise using this opening to actually damage the Paladin with physical Lightning Fury damage
Otherwise you're going to throw a lightning bolt at him that deals no damage, causes knockback and he's just going to run away and have another re-approach
Every re-approach that you allow the Paladin is a risk you take getting smacked by something that can kill you in 2-3 hits depending on what the Paladin is using

Paladins force you (as an Amazon) into a situation where you are basically trading blows with the Paladin
No matter how much knockback you have, good Paladins will hit you and it is going to hurt
You'll need to make sure that every attack thrown his way counts for damage (Lightning Fury)

I've received a couple PMs now about ZvZ specific Amazons

My guide is a ZvA Guide
If you are planning on making a ZvZ specific Amazon for ladder competition and only ladder competition
Here is a better guide for you to read --> Arelax’s Non-Ladder ZvZ Bowazon Guide

Question. I am following your guide to a tea (95%), but I discover that 09 Siggards Stealth can increase damage, slow, 1+ skill to my zon overall.

Here my gear:
2 zon 30% frw 7 minimum 29str 20all resist 2 soc diadem (currently soc w/ 2 x 40/15).
passive gloves 20 ias kb
cat eye
dungos
war travel boots
Raven Frost
Melee ring
Diamond Bow faith

The reason why I want to use 09 Siggards Stealth because I can still hit 65% ias with this set-up in jewels + gear:
20 ias gloves
20 ias cat eye ammy
10 ias 09 Siggards Stealth
15 ias 40/15 in diadem and was going to socket the other jewel with like 40ed 9dex or 40ed 10 minimum jewel.

If you see any problems (switching gears or w/e), lmk and I believe the bug for ED% + Min + max is resolve by diablo 2 by now?

Funny you mention this about the damage bug on double moded jewels
We ran a thorough test of this about a month ago
Here is the link, read the results yourself --> http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=59627570&f=87

Which brings me to my next point
It's probably going to be a better idea to Ber that extra slot in your Diadem
That way you can maintain a Stormshield with Ber for 43% DR and your Diadem will give you 8% DR = 51% DR and still max

But overall, I would highly suggest switching to a Verdungo's setup or (Bugged Belt) if you're on Europe
There are many many many reasons for this
Particularly the life rep that dungo's offers +13, counts for alot of health over the course of an elongated duel (this is very important in ZvZ) and (ZvTrap)
Also keep in mind that the 10% slow on Nosferatu's does absolutely nothing to help you against your most difficult opponents
* Necromancers
* Druids

But your Siggard's is good man, just need to work around it
If you still have that on East or West, that's stylish to wear really
Sort of makes me jealous ^^

Btw, if you REALLY want to kill a Druid:

Diamond Faith
Eth Rare Cruel/Master Mats // JMoD of Deflect with 30%ed Rare Jewels that also have + life rep

* .08 Gaze
* Jeweler's Of Whale (30%ias at least)
* String Of Ears (Bugged Belt if you have access, of course)
* 20% Knockback gloves with life leech
* War Traveler
* Cat's Eye
* Raven Frost
* Crafted Ring with very high life leech

Ridiculous setup to tear apart druids as a Bowa
But unfortunately this gear is so specific vs Druid only
That there really isn't alot of room for it your stash

I was considering building a Mule for this setup
And other Amazon swaps for ft5 wagers oO

10 ias 09 Siggards Stealth

you need 6% leech to see hits pvp

iirc 1.09 only had 5%, so the new one is better
