many people see barbs as the best characters, its purely opinion.
saying he is not correct is just being arrogant, saying your opinion is better than his.
barbs are very cheap to get good gear for, and is very good for streangth builds, as he pointed out.
many people prefer that over dex builds to start out with.
if you wish to argue whether str builds are better for a fighter over a barb, pm me,i'd love to debate this

Anyway, the barbarian starts out with the following stats:
Str:60 good for dmg
Dex:25 the lowest dex of all chars on slasher = the mod you need the most!
Int:5 this low int = much dmg on higher levels from all caster mobs. put some points here instead of vita (later L65+)
Vit:60 10 to much.
Stats point remaining: 10 (If this on vita 20 w8sted stats)

No char on HC need more than 50 vita (period) so Barb have +10 to much
Fighter have perfect 50 no w8sted stats there.

Dex:40 the mod you need the most! pump all stats here. (maybe some to int later L65+)
Int:10 this is to low int for HC = much dmg on higher levels from all caster mobs.

so base info about HC high level slashing.

If you have to low int you will suffer much dmg on high levels...
If to low dex you will suffer high dmg from melee monsters on high level.

compair the max life you will have for all those stats on vita from start compaired with all that higher dmg you will suffer With:
lower vita but higher killing dmg = kill faster and suffer less life lost overall. ballance.


I send you this info on PM so you can think about it... i have done a few climbs with many dif chars and gear.
Barb is the wurst char you can play on HC.

*Time consuming (all extra regen for nothing)
*Low dmg overall (can kill all monsters even with max life)
*No protection VS casters ~ 50% of all monsters you meet

Fighter 100% better for poor ppl can use the same gear, but better ballanced char overall stats points wise.

str barb maybe fun Under level 65.

Saying 50 vita is all you need is stupid, 50 is nice and anymore is extra safety.

Pumping int = waste of time IMO especially if not a caster/don't plan on healing.

Dex and str barbs both work well IMO, but so far i'm prefering a dex char for crappy gear.

I level'd 2 STR HC barbs, and now a dex samurai. Dex samurai is faster atm (better gear also) , but the str barbs weren't that slow and it was very safe.

so you still managed to get to the MQ with a 100% str build?

yea ur right, but if u balance out the gear it shud be fun idk
u r right about the low int thou. that will hurt in the long run

I did 100% str build (53str armor +53str charm) min dmg 400+ was forced to reroll L60 took to much dmg
recomend atleast 70dex minimum
