75 vitality > 70 vitality........

If your going to make a barb the best thing to do is put every single point into dexterity... UR going decent average damage ... u already start with plent of life .... all dex will be the best and help you vs melee monsters.

Vitality is overrated especially for hardcore.

THe main thing you should worry about is lag and 10 dex> 10 vitality because monsters can crit you very high and with higher dex they wont as well as you will crit more often and higher.

Str is cheaper.
If people can afford - then they may go dex, if cant, then I suggest to go with str.

i think putting more than 10 in vit is overkill (even on HC)

As for weapons, you can survive by changing every 5 lvls and just buying the cheapest one without ee at least up to ~50 after that dunno never gotten that high biggrin.gif

But its a nice guide!

This guide is more for the new people. Vitality really help you a lot when you got no fg or any good items. My first 2 character was str/vit barb. Without that vitality, it would of tooken me much longer. You only lose 10 stats points which you can make up with str items. I don't really think dex is really needed on barb.

Str gives around .9% ee per point in it... It makes you level very very very slow and dex will give you critical strikes and defense

WIth 25 dex and 5 intelligence your going to get hit high very often and your going to be doing crappy damage vs there defense.

Dex gives protection and damage.... str doesnt give protection. This is especially important int hardcore

Lol! Your highest char on HC is what..31?

That's nearly like saying staying alive is over rated, or dieing is under rated.

Safety >

70 is a nice base.

Str = Constant damage
Dex = Some protection against melee, a few more crits.

With budget gear, for offense I like str more than dex. And seeing as you will have fairly high life, then dex isn't needed IMO.

And str doesn't = .9 EE wink.gif

Nice guide, pretty brief but it's not bad.
