I've played since d1 and they completely lost that nostalgia diablo feeling that is the music, voice actors, insane cinematic, and apocalyptic "hell" feeling to it. Cannot ever be replaced unless diablo 2 is remastered.

You know something is very wrong when D3 players start to stomp on D2 saying magic and ele dmg is all the same. Guess what morons it's not all the same.
Fire / Light / Cold / Poison / Magic are all different and have even some extra effects like cold turning your character blue and slows (length depending on your cold resist%) and poison dmg turning your character green and eating your hitponts for a certain amount of time.

You D3 players should stick to playing D3 cuz in this game everything is so dumbed down that even braindead zombies could play it.

Did we mention -res and +dmg like you can do with rainbow facets? Another ace up my sleeve to show you why D2 systems offer so much more depth then shitty D3 (and to Attila: there is no magic dmg rainbow facet, to show you it's different)

Magic is one of the six damage types in Diablo II, the others being Cold, Fire, Lightning, Poison, and Physical.

Players have only one option for boosting their magic resistance, with the crafted Safety Shield being the only item in the game that contributes. Complimenting that fact, there very few monsters in the game with immunity to Magic damage, including the Greater Mummies of Act 2 and the Wailing Beast of Act 3. This makes many builds utilizing Magic damage very powerful in both PvM and PvP.

The following skills provide magic damage:

Amazon: Magic Arrow
Assassin: Psychic Hammer
Barbarian: Berserk
Necromancer: Teeth, Bone Spear, Bone Spirit
Paladin: Holy Bolt (Including those released from Fist of the Heavens), Blessed Hammer, Sanctuary
