fasting sugar means...your blood sugar is that of a person who is fasting....to achieve this you need an empty stomach of at least several hours (without carbs).

As far as BCAA's go...I would recommend taking 1.5-2g of bcaa's before/during (every 30-45 mins)/and after exercise.

so in the morning, I should take 1.5 - 2g of BCAA, and do say 5 sets of 25 reps for burpees (no room to run, or have a jump rope). Would that be optimal fat burning?

that would be fine...make sure to take 1.5-2g bcaa AFTERWARDS also...and eat approx 20 mins after completing exercise.

Hey bud, I'm about 5'11 and 175-180 lbs.
I'm looking to cut down on my body fat, get a better looking ripped body.
Food discipline is hard for me..

Also, making time for 6 meals a day is very hard when in the Marine corps heh..

I'm looking for your best advice on what workouts I should be doing to get into better shape/lose weight/get lean and ripped muscle.

Also.. if you had a good 4-5 meal a day plan what would it consist of?

I can hit the gym 3-5 times every week for sure.. (monday/wed/frid/sat/sun) at about 6 am in the morning, and I can go on runs as well as do other exercises at night.
Its really just a time restraint for me..
What can you give me?!

P.s. I love to run but have been trying HIIT cardio lately.. its pretty rough lol

Hey there.

Before we go any further, let me ask you this. You are a Marine - therefore are you locked into specific foods/meals? Secondly, you already must do a lot of very intense physical exercise as a Marine, so getting you into ripped shape won't be too hard to do.

Most of the time it all comes down to diet...even with tons of exercise some people can't rip up because of certain food issues (some people handle carbs better than others and so forth).

So let me know about the food situation and we'll go from there.

I can eat really healthy every day. But it's hard for me to get 5-6 meals in because it's so busy. I can do probably 4 meals a day. Maybe 5 if I get lucky.
I don't have stuff to eat every day, but at the chow hall there's a healthy line with lean meats and greens, which I've started sticking to.
Such as fish, chicken and ect..

I was about to post a thread in this section and I stumbled upon this sticky.

What's the best way to gain muscle mass fast?
I've been going to gym for about two years and I haven't seen much improvement. I might've gained 10 lbs max but it fluctuates.
For about a half year I've been going to gym regularly 4 days a week and eating more often as well, but I still haven't gained much weight.
I don't do cardio.

Are there any supplements that help gain weight/muscle mass fast? Or should I be doing something else?

HIIT - high intensity interval training.

It is alternating intensities of walking, jogging, sprinting.

For example...2 minutes walking, 2 minutes jogging, 30-45 seconds sprinting, repeat.

perform this cycle over and over for desired amount of time. (20-30 mins minimum)
