Hey raynor, I have a few questions today

Im on keto and im stalling now, im stuck around 210 (carb day 3 days ago), I was wondering what i should do as far as changing my diet numbers, cuz ive been eatin the same numbers since i started, lost 40 lbs with it.

but now im stuck, not the progress im hoping for at ALL after seeing what i was losing at start.

how much calories should i take in now? My goal is for 185

my current numbers are 180 prot, 150 fat, around 2.1k to 2.2k calories I think.

My GUESS is that going to 2k or under calories is gonna help, lowering the fat and leavin protein about the same

what do you think?

Hey there.

Lower the protein to 170 and fat to 140. This will put you right around 2,000 with the extra cals from the small amount of carbs (less than 20-25g).

You do have to adjust your macros as you lose weight to accommodate the reduced amount of calories your body burns as a result.

The other option is to step up the exercise. Either way, it shouldn't take much to see some positive adjustments here.

Any updates on the lifts/bodybuilding raynor? :o

No sorry.

I've been really bogged down with school, work, etc.

I also have a minor rotator cuff tear which occured several months ago that I have not fully recovered from, so I only use dumbbells for most of my pushing exercises.

I also have not been eating as well as I'd like to and training not nearly as much as before.

My total numbers are still about the same, although I rarely go for 1-2RMs

Once I'm out of school and have more time I will be getting back into it a bit more and possibly trying to move up some of my numbers.

i'm 6'3 230lbs

i'm extremely out of shape, i haven't lifted since high school when i was 185lbs (3 years ago). i curled and benched yesterday, could curl 40's in sets of 8 and bench 125 in sets of 6 (i could never bench much the highest i ever got back when i worked out was 190lbs two times) and didn't do anything else because i was limited on time. i went to my local park to attempt to run around the track, after one lap i was exhausted and after the 2nd lap i puked. i basically jogged as slow as i walk for 3/4 of the 2nd lap.

just out of curiosity do you have any beginner programs or beginner programs you would recommend? i have finally become so disgusted in myself that i need to make a change and i need to make it now since i have nothing else going for me in my life. the problem is i honestly don't have the money to pay the $50 per month that it charges for my local gym and the closest gym other than that is a 45 minute drive away. i also don't have any input on what is made for dinner or the food that is bought in the house. pretty much all i do with my life is go to classes and play video games all day. i don't drink, smoke, or do any other type of drugs. i mainly eat junk food all the time, i am going to stop that. my main drinks are soda, iced tea, and lemonade. i will quit the soda but is iced tea and lemonade bad? if so, i can drink just water and milk.

i have a fitness machine at my house, it's a zuma pacific fitness or something like that. i know it probably isn't really any good but at least it is something. my dad bought it years ago and he used it for a while but now it just collects dust in the basement. below is a picture of the machine, it is a picture that i googled but it looks to be the exact same machine that i have.

Hey there.

Well you are certainly coming to the right place.

First of all, let me tell you this - you can easily lose fat, build muscle, and look exactly the way you want to and all it takes is two things.

DIET AND EXERCISE.

So, with that in mind - I understand not wanting to pay for a gym membership, and technically it is NOT necessary for your goals. However, as time goes on and your goals change, you will eventually see the benefits to having a wide variety of equipment.

As far as the equipment you have, you can use that....and it will help (better than nothing)

Anyway, here is a link to the basics for you to begin with:

EDIT::

Forgot to mention, you want to avoid iced tea (unless it is NOT SWEETENED) and lemonade (also avoid because of sugar). You want to stick to beverages with no sugar....that means water, diet soda, diet tea, diet lemonade, etc. are all acceptable. I would avoid milk because of the high caloric content - it can be used, but only strategically, not all the time.

Once you have got yourself down around the 8-10% BF mark, it's time to bulk! You will go back up to around 15%, and then cut again. This is the best way to get big, lean, and muscular as fast as possible.

So once you are at a low enough BF to start bulking, follow these guides:

(any of the below workout plans are fine, but the bulking guide is key)
