Hernia prevented me from bracing my core which made my squats stall out for 1.5 years which was kinda demotivating

Was taking it too seriously for a dumb natty. Spent a a fair amount of money on coaching, driving to and from a Powerlifting gym, eating right, sleeping right. Was addicted to hitting certain numbers and would think about it nearly every day

Fairly happy with 240/170/300 but wish I could have pushed my squat up

Started studying again after hours as a hobby which is turning into a potential career change, I’m hoping. In the IT field. This seemed like a much better use of my time

Also developed this weird feeling in the gym, wasn’t anxiety because I’ve spent 10 years at the gym and mog everyone there, but it was this weird feeling of not wanting to be there anymore. Was a feeling like something was not right, which faded after leaving

Also since dropping lifting I went back into rugby a lot more seriously this year and had a lot of fun getting yucky with the boyz after the game, and weighing about 10kg less made getting around the field a lot easier

And perhaps after all my friends asking me ‘why’ I guess I asked myself why as well. Wasn’t enjoying it

Touch rugby and getting yucky with the boys? Sounds like you might have had another change in life.

Damn man, shame but that’s awesome none the less that you still have passion for something.
