i generally pack 2-3 ham or turkey, cheese, mustard sandwiches. sometimes a banana or two. one sandwich/banana at most per break, sometimes eating nothing on a break.

tl;dr what should i eat, what should i drink, and what are some good exercises to do when i get home that aren't too time-consuming (not cuz lazy but cuz tired when i get home)?
Hello,
given your current higher/weight, body type, and activity level (from the work you do), you are going to need at LEAST 4,000-5,000 calories per day in order to make solid gains.
Here is a sample guide for 4,500 cals:
http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=21269614&f=60&p=382849091#p382849091However, this might be hard for you to do given your current schedule.
With that in mind, here are some tricks you can do in order to boost your calories:
Get weight gainer and drink 2 weight gainer shakes a day. These are easy to carry with you, and easy to drink. Try Cytosport Cytogainer, Pro Complex Gainer, or NOW! Gainer.
In addition to drinking TWO of those per day, you will also need some high calorie meals.
Two sandwiches per meal, consisting of:
4 total slices whole grain bread
6 oz of meat per sandwich (12 oz total)
2 oz of cheese per sandwich (4 oz total)
any veggies or condiments you want on the sandwich
2 tbsp of olive oil on the sandwich
Total calories will be around 500 per sandwich, so 1,000 per meal.
If you eat this 3x per day, you will be at 3K calories per day + 1K calories for each protein shake, for a total of 5K calories.
You also should be eating as much fresh fruit and veggies as possible. Greek yogurt, hard boiled eggs, nuts, and beef jerky are all good snacks while you are working that will also add calories.
Lastly, make sure to drink 1-1.5 gals of water per day. Sports drinks are OK, but contain a lot of sugar, and should only be used sparingly.
As far as exercises at home goes...here's a list:
