Quick question.

Should I wait two weeks on keto before first cheat day?  I play on doing a cheat day every 7 days for the first two or three weeks and slowly decreasing over time (7, 10, then 14 days is what I usually do).  I have heard mixed opinions about waiting two weeks at first.

Also looked for the soda you recommended, hard to find in my area.  My girlfriends dad got me onto natural flavored seltzer/sparkling water.  Definitely couldn't stand it while off the diet, but now that I'm on the diet its like god's gift!

Definitely wait 14 days for the first cycle.

Double post but forgot to ask and too late to edit!

I got a bunch of free protein bars from the gym.  They are "low carb" meaning they have about 18g carbs but 14g are sugar alcohol.  Should I even bother with these or just toss them?  I have never trusted sugar alcohols.

Don't bother with these...they will throw you out of keto.

How high should my lifts be before starting the hypertrophy program?

My new semester starts tomorrow and I thought about starting a hypertrophy program tomorrow.

I'm 5'5"
160 lbs
13% BF
Bench: 265 lbs
ATG squat: 365 lbs
Deadlift: 365 lbs

Also when would be the best time to lift?

Early in the morning around 5am? Or in the evening around 8pm?

So I just started lifting for the first time in at least 5 years after 2 months of pure cardio to lose weight. I've lost about 25 pounds down from 202 to 178.

I am 5'9 and i maxed out benching about 135. i am a pussy. how do i get stronger?

so, my girlfriend is a wreck! yeah! she never do any physical activities, most of the day is chillin' on the couch, watching tv, and yet, she doesn't understand why she is so ill, and feeling so lazy etc etc...

i tell her to go see the doc, but she says "i've been there! i'm not low on any vitamins! i got everything i need! i just got a bad immune system, that's all!"

she's complaining to me all the time about how bad she's feeling, and i'm really sick of it.. i've been trying to get her started with some training, but she's not interested at all. she's getting mad when i ask her about it. she's been with me at the gym a few times, but she just finds herself a nice spot to sit and relax and type on her phone for the 90 minutes i'm there..

what should i do? might her bad shape/bad immune system be the reason of why she's a wreck?

i see no reason of why a person with a bad immune system should feel sick 24/7

You can start hypertrophy without any issues.

It would probably be better for you to lift earlier because it would actually assist you with energy throughout the day. Training too close to bed time can overstimulate you and cause some sleeping issues.

Short answer...

http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=21269614&f=60&p=345300636
5x5 plan

You will need to be on at LEAST a small surplus of calories in order to gain strength. Try to keep yourself to a 35/20/45 diet (protein/carbs/fat), with approximately 200-300 cals above maintenance (BMR) to minimize fat gains

It sounds to me that she has more of a mental/emotional issue rather than a physical one.

When someone lacks all motivation for physical activity and frequently complains of generally feeling unwell, there are a few things at play:

1. Malnourishment (particularly low in protein and certain vitamins)
2. Allergies (food or environmental)
3. Mental/Emotional distress causing physical manifestations

I would advise that you get her some time with a psychiatrist who can help her talk about things. Don't feel bad if this starts to help, sometimes people need a professional in order to start being able to address mental/emotional issues.

If that approach is a no-go, your options are either to leave her alone and keep her mellow, or aggressively take charge of her diet and exercise routines and risk pushing her away.

A tough decision needs to be made regardless, but in general it seems that she needs some type of help.

she does have many allergies..
she can't eat anything with milk in it.. it's not lactose, it's some kind of protein in it that her body can't take..

so it's a dead end? nothing will make her better?

also, she's complaining about her body all the time.. "it hurts here and there" mainly her back/shoulders, but also her feet.. i guess that has something to do with her low physical activity?

What's your thoughts on taking pre workout?

Should I stop doing it?
