Been doing a high volume training past few months.. basically just high reps..

Should I switch to strength or is there a way to keep doing hypertrophy without reaching plateu

And if i'm doing a strength routine... I take it it should only be once a week for a body part? And not twice like hypertrophy

And for a strength routine, how come even at lighter weight you stick with 5 reps?

For strength, stick to 5x5 as seen here:

5x5 plan

Hypertrophy is not meant for a year round program, as you will definitely plateau quickly with it. Hypertrophy is best alternated with strength routines such as 5x5, or 3x5.

With regard to why you would do 5 reps of lower weight, that is a warmup and intended to prepare your muscles for the heavier weight you will be doing in the later sets, without exhausting yourself before hand.

What supplements would you recommend for getting "shredded"?

I'm 5'10, 168 (probably like 12-15% bf)
Trying to get down to 160ish.

I usually run to the gym (1.2 miles), lift for an hour or two, then run back.
I do this 3-4 times a week with a split like..

Chest/Tricep/Abs
Back/Bicep/Abs
Rest
Legs/Abs
Shoulders/Abs (if I miss a day to work I stack legs on this day)
Rest (optional cardio or make-up for missed day due to work)
Rest (optional cardio or make-up for missed day due to work)

I was thinking about getting some essentials like Amino Acids, Fish Oil, Multivitamin.

What else would you recommend for Protein and fat burner (would need 30 day supply of both).

The real key to getting shredded is a proper diet to go along with your routine.

However, for extra help.....GAT Jet Fuel is quite good. Also EFA's (NOW! Super Omega 3-6-9) with every meal are also good

For protein powder, go with Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex Natural or NOW! Whey Protein

almond milk... Whats your opinion on it? Is it good for you?
I used to drink a lot of soy, then steered away from that... but switching between almond milk and water, would that be good?
