Hello,

I have tried about a half dozen different types of documented sleeping practices, alongside the regular or abnormal sleeping schedules.

As someone who enjoys the benefits of what time can entail, I am interested in what others have experienced when managing a healthy sleeping practice and or schedule. I am also interested in reading some of the pros and cons of temporary sleeping practices and or schedule one may have and or tried to accomplish.

If you have a sleeping practice and or schedule that you could share here, one that is well documented or out of personal experience, I may be interested in understanding it and possibly discussing it. I'm also aware that maintaining a healthy lifestyle, specifically for sleeping correctly and while maintaining ones personal well being at a superior level, can be important. So, I would also like to know how you properly supported the sleeping practice and or schedule you may share here.

Thanks for checking this out. I look forward to the discussions. (:

Sometimes. If you found a sleeping schedule on Google.com that you can write about, I might find it useful and while open to the discussion to here.

Thank you for sharing. A more common sleeping schedule like what you such mentioned is a good for many people.

take naps during the day when you feel like it and are able to. you don't need to sleep during certain hours. just make sure you sleep enough hours (what enough means to you) during a 24 hours cycle.

I remembered professionals bodybuilders going to kuwait and sleeping 2-3 hours at a time and they grew a lot.

Since my night sleep is messed up at times, I take naps when I am able and feel like it. Works for me.

I Kyhle! Welcome to FnR. I haven't seen you post much on this side of things. For health benefits, 8 hours of sleep is typically appropriate and the most natural sleep pattern for humans would be during sundown - sunup. Of course, some people have "odd jobs" that prevent them from sleeping during this time, yet 8 hours is still recommended. There is a growing trend of sleeping when the subject is tired. I.E sleep at 9PM, wake up at 3AM, sleep again at 10AM, wake up again at 1PM, etc.

Hello!

I am one to enjoy naps. I do try to take them as needed, however one of my sleeping practices included scheduled naps. That practice involved 3 1/2 or so hours of uninterrupted sleep per day. That idea could be something along the lines of the body builders sleeping patterns you may have mentioned. I spent roughly 10 months using that sleeping schedule and would like to try it again. (:

Any additional thoughts or discussions? (:

Hello!

Thanks for the Welcome, though I am unsure what FnR stands for in this sub-forum. I am interested in the growing trends of how different people find a regular sleeping pattern healthy. I believe the internet has helped bring that information to light, possible in relation to the example you mentioned. I also believe some of those trending patterns of when one sleeps due to being tired is something found in a variety of different cultures, while I also believe some of those cultures simply used to or still require different times of sleep to survive with ease. I.E. Waking up at 3 AM to put firewood in the stove. oO

Any additional thoughts or discussions? (:

I recommend looking into the work of Matthew Walker, a professor of neuroscience and sleep expert. The guy provides some genuinely interesting information regarding the importance of sleep and can probably provide insights that you may find useful. I found out about him through Joe Rogan podcast, which is well worth the couple of hours to listen.
