Thanks, will do with slashing... I am getting bored with it again... LS has so much potential, and yet no extra content for LS, don't get me wrong, this update is most likely the best so far, but once again Paul limited the potential of the game.
Just an idea here, pretty much similar to previous suggestion I have made or read from others.
The Hole of Despair;Entering here in the midst of despair you and your group will fall into an abyss of constant conflict and encounter multitude waves of monsters until you either die, run or complete your goal. (Master Quest)
Concept of "The Hole of Despair" and rules:This is like "Whistling" (No EPs/Objectives) combined with Old School catacomb/Arena where upon exiting "The Hole of Despair" to shrine in town, the game is reset and group disbanded.
This area can only be entered at Level 1.Instead of "whistling" function (pressing T), pressing "Engage" automatically spawns the next monster wave, this isn't a Maze, it is a Hole (similar to Arena & MCC chain) where the number of monsters increase per wave you complete. So 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 etc up to max 9 monsters will appear, and from 9, only 9 will continue to appear until you reach your next level, or group has reached the same level and reset to 1 monster spawn.
Note: You can still use your Vault. "The Hole of Despair" starts with +50% Monster Difficulty compared to normal Catacombs/Maps. Event mods are additive to the % MD. I think this would make faster runs for those that are after Guild Points... they also get a lot of well items, it also increases the cost of consumables like Fish / Glyphs and Comfrey, maybe increase more interest in using a Vault since you can NOT go to town.
Goal/Prize: This needs more input, but initially, if you complete "The Hole of Despair" from level 1 to Master Quest, you get triple Guild Points? or maybe Paul could introduce a +1-3 Permanent starting stat point for that character (max 10 total) which does NOT reset when Ladder resets.
Catacomb:
Doesn't change at all, includes Maps.
"Heroes Questing Hall" (maybe a little too over the top)Basically the concept is to do quests for gifts. These gifts are "Scrolls" that you can either use or hold onto, basically similar to a Glyph, but the rewards are the same or similar to objectives and can be used like potions (stacking).
Note: I haven't a clue what to include for these gifts, or the difficulty of it... maybe it is like a Map, when you uncover a cell (square) and return to it, no monsters appear, with that in mind, maybe a "Jinn" appears every 5 minutes of play and forms a "Veil of Fog" covering the Maze already explored, so basically you have to remember where you have been or not, making the run a bit longer (the "Veil of Fog" does NOT mean monsters will respawn on explored cells though).
EDIT: what is funny, I still remember doing the old catacomb runs SOLO and have 9 monster waves... it was fun trying to beat the odds.
