aight well good on you, there's been a few of these over the years: nerva, blur, blurrycash, piratechain, amitycoin, electroneum, sumokoin, turtlecoin and so many more
coming in with big hype as like "it gonna dethrone that monero thing omg omg omg"
at this point who even care, that's the monero thread, if u wanna shill some monero fork you could always make your own thread about it
so far monero has been battletested for years with govs all around the world trying to figure new attack vectors on it, offering 7 figures bounties or whatever, that's some nice free audit by adversaries right there
like, as of today, it's already working as intended, is already being used as a currency and the next gen protocol for it been in the work for couple years (seraphis/jamtis) and is still a few years away from being released
you might think it as "competition" between 2 coins but new discoveries from downstream, if worth the time can always be adapted to upstream with even more indepth testing or whatever
it happened in the past already, work done on wownero allowed to find and fix some code upstream to monero
something u might not take into consideration is how many contributors to the code monero had
literally #3 coin on coingecko for the numbers of devs for it (right before bitcoin and eth)
meanwhile a lowcap coin might have like just a couple dudes working on it and won't have as much audit going on for it
regardless, new inovation is fine, not a "threat" whatsoever tho
Out of all these forks I only supporting 2 BTW
Nerva (XNV) even tho the dev (angrywasp) is an actual dipshit and he's aware of what I thinking of him
And
Wownero (WOW) cause people actually using it, to tip meme creators, sure but it's still actually used and who knows if at some point an actual marketplace like moneromarket will be done for it, there's already suggestions on their subreddit to be integrated in those already existing marketplaces as well
