Just another note on BABA.

This is as of the beginning of the month.

https://www.yahoo.com/now/alibaba-sales-miss-sign-spending-110049220.html#:~:text=The%20company%20announced%20Tuesday%20it,by%2050%25%20to%20$15%20billion.

Smart companies and CEO's don't increase share buybacks when their stock is ATH but rather when they think the stock is worth more than any other investment and they think the price will appreciate.

It's hard to fight the downtrend but to me this is pretty strong indicator that if you have a medium term horizon this might be a good time to buy. To me it's much more probable that the stock goes up 15% from these levels rather takes another 15% lower, but who knows i'v been wrong on Baba so far.

Loaded a shit ton of baba today

Let’s go

It's not like I'm holding excess cash just to take advantage of a dip, but rather I have no idea what to invest in at the moment with prices at ATH

My strategy is that I only invest in a few companies outside of index funds, which works for me, but I've been looking at residential REIT funds as a way to diversify away from 'pure' equity. Finding the right ones is hard though, so if anyone has some they'd recommend I'll check them out

I've been holding STWD since the crash when I got in under 10. I personally like their CEO a lot. Very smart guy.

They are more of a hybrid REIT though. 60% commercial, 40% multifamily. Has treated me quiet well over the last year+

Chyna bouncing hard. Tencent approved for studio 9 purchase. Seems like China is easing up a bit.

Might add on this strength. A whole lot of gaps to fill here still.

Only have about 5k to invest right now. Adding more every month. Bought 10 shares of BABA at 171.23. I'll probably add every month from now on. Every person I follow no matter how conservative is buying baba at this price.

I think overall Chinese large cap tech looks very attractive at these valuations. Sub 20 p/e and their p/e to growth is easily under 1. KWEB is a good ETF to buy imo if you want a more diversified way to get into China.
