Eating good in Roku. Only regret is not having a bigger position.

I’ve been previously bearish on Dis but honestly last week or two I’ve been eyeing an entry. My thesis changed on them even though their revenues took a plunge. The way the industry is heading I think they are in a really good spot to capitalize on the wealth of entertainment options they have considering the amount of content they already have plus a fuckton of rights to big name movies and franchises.

Not buying here but looking for a low 120s entry. If it gets there I’ll buy if not I’m okay with it.

Pretty reasonable. My thesis is the same where I think it’s a house of glass, honestly feel the same about real estate

Just hanging on to the ones that I think will survive on the other side if it does go to shit again

My average price is 107 so I am not going to sell. Only thing I want to add to is AMD bigly if it gives me the chance in 60s again

Tsla I want to start a position in badly. When Tesla came down to 1400 for that week I had mouse on the buy button a couple times but held off... wanted <1k. Lmao

I've done some consulting work for a cyber security company over the summer and it exposed me to a huge future demand industry that's only being amplified with Covid and the stay at home trend. Having talked to some insiders there's huge demand and it will only continue because government both on a national+ state level is pushing for higher standards, ex, CMMC for federal contractors, state: things like NY Shield Act. Things like SOC 2 assessments & other compliance products have huge demand right now. Managed security solutions as well.

Most quality names in this industry are up hundreds of % already so it's hard to find bargains but for anyone reading, it'd suggest at least looking at the industry. I like two companies in this space a lot. OKTA and VRNS but both are expensive and ran up a ton. Lmk if anyone has done any research into this space.

sorry for ignorance but for lay person can you briefly describe some of the acronyms like cmmc, soc2, etc

if too complicated ill educate myself a bit as well. NY shield act basically stating that companies need more of a minimum level of cyber security? I will look into this sector more because don't think I have anything from this sector on my watch list

Not familiar with the space outside of layman knowledge, quick scans shows cybersecurity indexes CIBR and HACK are doing well.

CMMC is basically federal regulation coming out at end of 2020 that will mandate cyber security standards for government contractors. There's hundreds of thousands of them. SOC 2 is a compliance assessment that's becoming a must have for pretty much all businesses as vendors & supply chain partners are asking for them. Basically in our interconnected world if i'm corp XYZ and my proprietary data is shared with my supply chain or enterprise customers, i want some peace of mind that if they're hacked that i'm not compromised in that hack as well so there is growing demand for managed security and security standards assessments.

Both CMMC & SOC fall under compliance which is one piece of the IT Security puzzle. If you think about NY Shield act it will force companies to spend on IT security. Think about what happened when Obamacare forced people to get healthcare and the impact on insurance stocks, i see a similar outcome here. A lot of stuff is moving to the cloud, with that expect more spend on cloud security.

It's just crazy how parabolic the growth has been in this space and the CAGR looks really good for the next 5-10 years. That's why i'm looking into some small-mid cap companies to buy even if they are up 500% in the last 2-3 years. Personally not looking at etfs because i think being granular will pay off here.

Talking to some insiders just opened my eyes to something that i didn't really give much thought from an investment perspective.

Do you know of any ETFs that give more weight to this sector? Just for the purposes of seeing which companies fall under this umbrella. Thanks for taking the time to explain, very much appreciated. Didnt even think of this sector tbh

I invested in a penny stock called TPTW earlier this year, it has gone up about 300% since, they're a 5g innovation company and I could see good things for their future
