The following is an oppinion piece; I hope this helps
Hey guys; great to hear about some excitement for a new and upcomming game. I would like to offer some advice.
There have been hyped games in the past and a desire to make games an active part of our community and some
become a part of the site where as others do not. The amount of time and effort you commit to the game now will
dictate whether or not this game fits our community. You should illustrate the game has an active trading community
beforehand. Sections are given to proven games with proven activity.
Step one is spending time creating trade-lists or shops and conducting successful trades within the game and having
FG change hands in these trades. Show that you are dedicated to making this game work and that there is an actual
need for the section based on the frequency of trades occuring in the general game sections.
Understand that even in cases where a game visibly meets several criteria it may not become part of D2JSP. When a
game is on the cusp of being added the community and the time they have put into the game on these forums will
be considered.
For an example of a successful addition to the site here is another poll:
http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=73039097&f=258&o=0Of particular note: Not every game will have the fanbase of this example or the trading but understand it was not
always like this. Warframe was seldom traded or thought of despite its large playerbase - But there was an actual
need for a site section to help facilitate and match buyers, sellers and traders alike. The need arose when a successful
shop was created which got other people within our community interested. When users saw there was a market for
warframe people created their own threads to trade their hard earned and farmed warframe goods.
Before long users were trading warframe - so many that other games section of the forum was plagued with shop
offers and trading lists. A thriving community was created and eventually the game was greenlit to join D2JSP.
Today warframe has several large traders who maintain active lists and bump their respective shops once a week.
Every time you trade a blade and soul item for fg; recommend to the other person to check out the poll and present
their oppinion on the forums. Understand the trading comes before the section - not after. If you are not trading in
Blade and Soul now - you can bet there will not be a section as there is no need for it. Put the time in and commit
yourself to the game - and so long as others follow your lead you have the best odds of impacting D2JSP and getting
your game greenlit.
Make your case; hold the hands of staff and describe to them via your poll thread why the game should be added.
Wanting a section is not enough; it has to be needed. Make a need for Blade & Soul - pour your time into the
devlopement of this idea - show initiative and I think you too will be happy with your results.
Warframe was greenlit in just 40 days and I would like to think this is because of the time and dedication the userbase
put towards the game. It can take months - but if you can demonstrate just why this game among tens of thousands
of games deserves a section and others follow in your footsteps you might just get your wish! Goodluck guys!
