Is it against the ToS to trade our D2R characters for forum gold?

The buyer wants the account instead of a leveling-service

I want to get rid of my characters but continue playing D2R, so would like a new account to go with the trade..

Not sure if this breaks any rules, but guidance would be appreciated

It certainly is illegal to sell an account with your character attached,

what it actually means when you come across users selling "whole characters" in a trade post is that they were actually selling all the gear and the inventory of their character but not the actual character and account itself.
