that is, I’m not allowed to make counter offers in my posts? or simply be polite. is this considered spam?

That is correct. Rules here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/info.php?p=6

No, you are not allowed to bump your topic before 4h. You do counter offers via PM, that is why it exists.

In 99% your topics will not be closed but when that 1% hits don't act so surprised...

hmmmm well now I'm starting to understand. but I'm so tired of cleaning my personal account. weird rules, oh well

I think because you have 5topics

Top 50:
Do not have more than 4 threads up in the top 50 at any time.

To be fair, at the same time you are told to not do trades via PM as PMs are not moderated. But then you're not allowed to response to people in your threads as it's considered early bump. So what are you supposed to do? Lol.

It seems to me that your topic was closed due to "Early Bump" in the future you can always PM a Staff Member to get a better idea of why the topic was closed.

well, the correct approach is the following
1 make topic
2 get in contact with seller/buyer by letting him post in topic
3 negotiate via PM
4 have seller/buyer post newly negotiated price in topic
5 confirm the newly negotiated price in topic (keep early bump in mind!)
6 request mediator
7 trade

ofc noone does that, but as long as i didnt miss stuff, this is the suggested procedure

regarding this topic: i am a fan of transparent trades, which in practice is obscured by all the PM stuff going on in the forums. discussing prices in public just seems a lot more fair to other people interested
