Stuck on Aldrich. As a pure mage the boss is pretty much not possible. I've seen some other guides where people Great Heavy Soul arrow are doing crazy more damage.

Not sure if there is other areas I can go to try to level up more (currently 61) or if I should respec my character specifically for this boss then change back to sorcery upon defeating? Appreciate any tips

Instead of respec, try some pyromancy. Upgrade a pyro flame and chuck some greater chaos fireballs at him. Make sure to wear pyro boost rings too if you got em.

He's a bitch as a sorcerer. Pyro is easier imo. Melee is also an option if you did respec.

Anything that boosts Pyro damage should be worn, but I don't believe there's any clothing that does.

What's your equipment load like? Curious how your roll is, I had better luck keeping equip load under 50%.

His attacks deal magic, fire, and thrust so any outfit that buffs those would be ideal.

Also, if you have flash sweat that will help you too.

Should be fine, that's under the 50% breakpoint. Next one which would give longer roll is under 30% but its not a huge difference.

Equip load doesn't impact iframes or roll speed like it did in past games, just roll distance. As a mage it's nice to roll further for positioning and safety reasons which is why i prefer under 50%

At the end of the day its all fashion souls anyway, wear what looks nice to you unless you need a specific resistance for a boss fight.

Pyromancer is hella powerful lol. I got that spell you recommended and took my pyro flame to +3 and swapped some rings around for pyromancy and fire damage. Killed the boss first try haha. Thank you!! I’m glad I did not have to respec

Pyro is good fun, I'd recommend playing around with it a bit if you get stuck again. Not much is resistant to both magic and pyro, usually one of the two does the trick.

Break points are 30% for lightest and 70% for regular so up to 70% and he will be fine.

And even if sorc you should always have enough points to wield a sword, pref lothric straight.

Will help you out in a lot of scenarios.
