All Merc Weapons IAS Breakpoints

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Merc Auras
Combat (Normal): Prayer
Combat (Nightmare): Thorns
Combat (Hell): Prayer

Defense (Normal): Defiance
Defense (Nightmare): Holy Freeze
Defense (Hell): Defiance

Offense (Normal): Blessed Aim
Offense (Nightmare): Might
Offense (Hell): Blessed Aim

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Merc Builds:

The Faith Merc
Recommended type: Normal A1 - cold arrow

Helm: Andariel's Visage, Giant Skull
Armor: Treachery, Fortitude
Weapon: Faith Great Bow

Notes: Faith is an effective runeword, but it lacks LS%. For optimal survivability, use Treachery+Andys (LS%, Fade, fastest IAS breakpoint),Giant Skull offers Knockback and can be socketed with 2x 40/15's which unlocks the last breakpoint with Fortitude (assuming lvl 15 Fanaticism Great Bow)

IAS Tables for a lvl 15 Fanaticism Great Bow
IAS --- FPA --- Attacks/sec.
0% --- 10 --- 2.08
8% --- 9 --- 2.27
30% --- 8 --- 2.5

IAS Tables with other commonly used elite bows:
Shadow and Diamond Bows (lvl 15 aura)

IAS --- FPA --- Attacks/sec.
0% --- 11 --- 1.92
5% --- 10 --- 2.08
20% --- 9 --- 2.27
48% --- 8 --- 2.5
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Insight Merc
Recommended types: Nm defensive (Holy Freeze), Nm offensive (Might), Hell combat (Prayer)
Note: Prayer + insight works in synergie wich is pretty usefull for early ladder sorcs

Helm: Andariel's Visage, Vampire Gaze, Guillaumes Winged Helm, Crown of Ages
Armor: Treachery, Fortitude, Chains of Honor
Weapon: Eth Insight Tresher/Gt

Notes: The Insight runeword lacks LS%, IAS and CB%. A standard setup would be Treachery or Fort+Andys or Gaze+Insight, which is great if you are going to be using a character that can kill bosses efficiently himself. CoA and Guillaumes can both be used along with CoH (LS%) for different purposes. The CB% from Guillaumes will make your merc more effective against bosses, even though it will seem to do less raw damage.

Here are the different Jab IAS breakpoints with a Tresher/Gt so you can customize your setup:

IAS --- FPA --- Attacks/sec.
0% --- 6.5 --- 3.33
8% --- 6 --- 3.57
22% --- 5.5 --- 3.84
42% --- 5 --- 4.16
75% --- 4.5 --- 4.54
142% --- 4 --- 5

Using other commonly used polearms:
Colossus Voulge/Cryptic Axe

IAS --- FPA --- Attacks/sec.
0 --- 8 --- 2.77
5 --- 7.5 --- 2.94
11 --- 7 --- 3.12
22 --- 6.5 --- 3.33
35 --- 6 ---3.57
56 --- 5.5 --- 3.84
89 --- 5 --- 4.16
147 --- 4.5 --- 4.54
292 --- 4 --- 5

Low damage dealing version
Recommended type: Hell combat (Prayer)

Helm: Vampire Gaze, Crown of Ages, Kiras Guardian
Armor: Chains of Honor, Shaftstop, Guardian Angel
Weapon: Regular Insight Voulge

Notes: It's pretty pointless to add IAS charts, since all you want to do is keep him alive.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Infinity Merc
Recommended types: Nm defensive (Holy Freeze), Nm offensive (Might), Hell combat (Prayer)

Helm: Andariel's Visage, Vampire Gaze, Guillaumes Winged Helm
Armor: Treachery, Fortitude
Weapon: Eth Infinity Tresher

Notes on the setup: The only downfall of Infinity is its lack of IAS%, that's why I'm recommending a Tresher (-10 WSM) which is the fastest elite polearm in the game. Andys socketed with an IAS jewel + Treachery allows your merc to reach the 4.5 fpa breakpoint (4.54 attacks/sec.) Treachery + Vampgaze socketed with an IAS jewel gives 60% ias, which is enough for 5 fpa (4.16 attacks/sec.) Your merc also gets up to 35% DR when Fade procs. Andys (IAS jewel) + Fort reaches 5.5 fpa (3.84 attacks/sec.) I wouldn't recommend Fort + Gaze, since it has a slower attack speed than the other combinations.

IAS Tables: View Insight Merc

Low damage dealing version
Recommended type: Hell combat (Prayer)

Helm: Vampire Gaze, Crown of Ages, Kiras Guardian
Armor: Chains of Honor, Shaftstop, Guardian Angel
Weapon: Regular Infinity Voulge

Notes: It's pretty pointless to add IAS charts, since all you want to do is keep him alive.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Reaper's Merc
Recommended type: Nm Offensive (Might)

Helm: Guillaumes Wing (IAS jewel)
Armor: Treachery
Weapon: Eth Reaper's Toll (IAS jewel)

Notes: This is probably the most damage dealing merc in the game. It has a decent raw damage, attacks very fast, and offers nice mods such as DS%, CB% and CtC Decrepify. It can even kill PI mobs. The setup isn't too flexible, since this is definitely the way to optimize it.

Using Reaper's Toll (Jab)

IAS --- FPA --- Attacks/sec.
0% --- 6.5 --- 3.33
8% --- 6 --- 3.57
22% --- 5.5 --- 3.84
42% --- 5 --- 4.16
75% --- 4.5 --- 4.54
142% --- 4 --- 5

3.1 Paladin
3.2 Sorceres
3.3 Assassin
3.4 Druid
3.5 Necromancer
3.6 Amazon
3.7 Barbarian

4. Links to more detailed Builds + lld/pvp

Dont mind formating or typos here its jsut Quick Info links to real guides down below

Characters for PvE Farming etc wont cover PvP builds in Detail (links for them will be below)
CTA, Skillers, Torch, Anni wont be mentioned since its kinda common to use anyway:

3.1 Paladin:
FHR Paladin - 7/15/27/48/86/200
FCR Paladin - 9/18/30/48/75/125

General Tips and Info:

- Hammerdin always use Insight
- Smiter dont realy need merc but might + reaper can be a nice boost to dps if you can keep him alive
- Always use Max block on paladin

Hammerdin:
Build:
Hammer (20) - Conc (20) - Vigor (20) - Blessed Aim (20) - Holy Shield (20) - Rest into synergie of Holy shield / 1 Redemption if you want

Usefull Items:
Helm: Shako, Skill + fcr circs, CoA
Armor: Enigma
Shields: Spirit 35fcr SR or ST, Zaka
Weapon: Wizzy (50 fcr and res ), Hoto 40 fcr
Belt: Arach, Verdungos
Gloves: Magefist, Trang Ouls
Boots: Waterwalks, War Traveler, Hotspurs upped
Rings: SoJ, Bk, 10 fcr rings
Amulet: Maras, 2sk/20fcr mods

Some Item combos
125fcr standard( fast and can run all good )
Shako, Enigma, Spirit 35, Wizzy/Hoto, Maras ( you need 1x 10 fcr if you use hoto ), Arach, Trang Ouls/Mages, Waterwalk, Any Rings ( you need 1x 10 fcr if you use hoto )

125 fcr high dr/ HC viable
Coa/Bered Shako, Enigma, 35 fcr spirit, Wizzy, Verdungos, Magefist/Trang Ouls, Waterwalk, 20 fcr amulet, Rings with absorb such as wisp/ dwarf etc or 2x10 fcr if you use maras

125 fcr CS farmer
basicly 125 fcr standard build using Hotspurs, dwarfstar ring

75 fcr ( would not recomend )
basicly any of the aboth just with Zaka instead of Spirit

Smiter:
Skills:
20 smite
20 holy shield
20 fana
optional 20 resist lightning (this is maxing your resistance so you can reach resistance over 75)
optional 20 conviction ( if you reach 21+ you overwrite mephs aura in UT if that still works in D2R )
Rest in synergies or preferences

Gear:
Weapon: Grief, Last Wish, Black for Budget
Shield: Zaka, Spirit ST, 4x Perf dia ST for Budget
Helmet: Guillaumes
Armor: Forty, Treachery for Budget
Rings: raven frost + stat ring, any other
Amulet: Highlords wrath, Cats Eye
Belt: Dungos, String of Ears, anything works here
Gloves: Draculs or stat gloves (if using stat gloves you will need a life tap wand in secondary slot, these wands are shopable at akara)
Boots: goblin toe, Gore riders

In General make sure u got some source of Life Tab and stacked res, ias BPs, CB source, you good to go

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.2 Sorceres: Will provide just few item combos here since there is like a million different possible with sorc
FHR Sorc - 5/9/14/20/30/42/60/86/142/280
FCR Sorc - 9/20/37/63/105/200
Sorc (L / CL) - 7/15/23/35/52/78/117/194(200)

General Infos/ tips:
- use Infy merc for light sorc / Insight for any other
- Insight and Prayer are Synergies and regenerate pretty solid life in early ladder
- Use max Block ( Stormshield ) for Hardcore
- 105 fcr or 117/200 fcr ( Lighting)
- hands down best ladder starter ( teleport )

Best Builds for farming / Pve / Early ladder:
- Blizz sorc (Best early ladder can mf with 0 EQ or IQ)
- 200 fcr light sorc (awesome for baals/ chaos/ general pve/ can even pvp with it)
- Fireball 105/200 Fcr (more of pvp sorc but can farm andy, meph, eldrich, Shenk?, Pindle rather fast)

Hybrids:
- Orb Firewall (new d2r hybrid since they changed firewall)
- Other Hybrids worth mention (would not use them): Orb Meteor, Fireball Blizzard

Will redirect to Sorc builds since its just to many different builds: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=79178564&f=87
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.3 Assassin:
FHR Assassin - 7/15/27/48/86/200
FCR Assassin - 8/16/27/42/65/102/174

General Tips/ Info:
- use infy merc for LS / Infy or any other for Hybrid
- trap laying Speed is determined by IAS not FCR
- Claws Break when laying traps so carefull if u use eth claws
- Facets or Griffon doesnt count for your Sentrys since they count as minions in d2
- One of the strongest PvP Characters no matter if bugged or not specialy Hybrids are strong
- For PvE/ farming only realy viable Character is a LS assasin with eni or hybrid ww sin with eni (would prefer LS since easy to build)
- if you want to play walking LS assa in early ladder you dont need treachery for fade the 45 ias are nice tho

Pretty solid Wirteup for LS: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=13146668&f=87
more usefull builds: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=79178558&f=87
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FCR Druid - 4/10/19/30/46/68/99/163

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.5 Necromancer:
FHR Necro - 5/10/16/26/39/56/86/152/377
FCR Necro - 9/18/30/48/75/125

General Info and Tips:
- Infy or Insight Merc for Summoner with might aura, infy boosts your Corpse Explosion (fire dmg), reapers if you sturggle with phys immune
- Insight for Poison Necromancer
- Summoner Necro with Corpse Explosion ( fire dmg ) is one of the most easy Walkthrough classes for early ladder but leaks in later farming ability
- Poison Nova Necro is a rather Fast Cleaner for Cows / CS

Gear:
Weapon: Hoto, Suicide Branch, Spirit for Budget, Death web for Poison Nova
Shield: Spirit, Stormshield for HC and max block, Homunc for Budget

Gloves: Trang Ouls
Boots: waterwalks, sands, stat boots fhr frw
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.6 Amazon:
FHR Amazon - 6/13/20/32/53/86/174/600
FCR Amazon - 7/14/22/32/48/68/99/152

General Tips and Info:
- Javazon is one of the fastest cleaners in the game and can be build rather cheap for farming cows
- Use Infy merc for Java
- do not use evade etc in pve since it gets u stucked in evade frames
- Bowazon is pretty fun but leaks behind Javazon regarding dmg
- Use Act 2 Merc might aura if you play with Faith, Faith merc if you use Windforce

Gear Javazon:
Weapon: Titans Revenge, Rare or Magic Javs
Shield: Spirit, Stormshield for HC and max block, can use Phoenix but its kind of a waste, JMoD if you can afford
Helmet: Shako, 2/20 circs, 3/30 circ, Griffons, Valk helm (MaeK)
Armor: Enigma, Treachery or forty if u want to walk, can use CoH for res
Rings: Raven frost cnbf + stat ring (some mana leach is usefull), any other
Amulet: Highlords, Cats eye ( need ias here )
Belt: Razortail for 100% pierce
Gloves: 2jav/20ias, 3/20, any other gloves ll and ml are nice

Gear Bowazon:
Weapon: Faith GMB, Windforce (need to use Faith merc)

Amulet: Highlords, Cats eye ( need ias here )
Belt: Razortail for 100% pierce
Gloves: 2/20, 3/20, 20 ias gloves with leech

For both straight forward, max your main dps and synergies, Pierce until lvl 9 = 100% with razortail, rest valk or anything you want
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.7 Barbarian:
FHR Barb - 7/15/27/48/86/200
FCR Barb - 9/20/37/63/105/200

General Infos and Tips:
- One of the most diverse classes even tho doesnt look like that
- is a walking cta
- Any Ias from your Equipment does not affect your Whirlwind attack skill, only Weapon IAS matters here (most common BA: 34+ ias needed, PB: 4 ias)
- Frenzy stacks stay active after u built them up and can be used for other skills (during the time window that they are up)
- Leapspeed is not affected by IAS or FCR sadly
- many different farming builds: Gold barb, ww barb, zerker - with own sub builds
- do not use any source of cold dmg for goldfind barb shattered corpses can not be horked

I will try to provide items compact as i can:

Goldfind Barb "so hot right now"

Kill it yourself version:
Gear Wirlwind Goldfind:

Merc A2 might insight or infy or any other non cold dmg weapon / do not use Forty since the cold armor can freeze monsters

1 Ko Rune + 1 Lem Rune + 1 Perfect Diamond + Exceptional Unique Armor= Elite
1 Ort Rune + 1 Amn Rune + 1 Perfect Sapphire + Normal Rare Weapon = Exceptional Rare Weapon
1 Ral Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Amethyst + Normal Rare Armor = Exceptional Rare Armor
1 Fal Rune + 1 Um Rune + 1 Perfect Sapphire + Exceptional Rare Weapon = Elite Rare Weapon
1 Ko Rune + 1 Pul Rune + 1 Perfect Amethyst + Exceptional Rare Armor = Elite Rare Armor

Item Reroll:
Magic

3 regular gems, 1 socketed weapon = 1 magical weapon with 1-2 sockets; ilvl 30
3 flawless gems, 1 magical weapon = 1 magical weapon with 1-2 sockets; ilvl 30
3 Perfect gems, 1 magical item = 1 magical item; ilvl=ilvl (here the item level won't change.)
Rare
1 pskull, 1 SOJ, 1 rare item = 1 rare item; ilvl = 0.6 ilvl + 0.6 clvl
6 pskulls, 1 rare item = 1 rare item; ilvl = 0.4ilvl +0.4clvl

Crafting:
Magic Item (specific type) + Rune (specific) + Perfect Sapphire + Jewel --> Hit Power Item (of the same type)
Magic Item (specific type) + Rune (specific) + Perfect Ruby + Jewel --> Blood Item (of the same type)
Magic Item (specific type) + Rune (specific) + Perfect Amethyst + Jewel --> Caster Item (of the same type)

Caster Boots == Magical Leather Boots / Demonhide Boots (Excep) / Wyrmhide Boots (Elite) + Jewel (any) + Thul Rune (#10) + Perfect Amethyst

Notes for Crafting:
The mods on the item you use in the recipe have no effect on the crafted item you create. The affixes are re-rolled completely, using the base item so don't use a Cruel weapon and expect the Blood weapon you get out of that to have 350% damage.

Random mods: The maximum ilvl of affixes for random mods is determined by the Clvl of the character executing the recipe, by the following formula:

At ilvls 1-30, there's a 40% chance of 1 affix and a 20% chance each of 2, 3 or 4 affixes.
At ilvls 31-50, there's a 60% chance of 2 affixes and a 20% chance each of 3 or 4 affixes.
At ilvls 51-70, there's an 80% chance of 3 affixes and a 20% chance of 4 affixes.
At ilvls 71+, there's a 100% chance of 4 affixes.

Watch the gamble section for Info of how to Gamble right Item Levels (ilvls), Zone drops is ilvl = Monster lvl that dropped it ( ilvl=mlvl=arealvl(if not super unique or boss) / more later in topic about this )

All recipes will generate with the preset mods, and from one to four random prefixes and suffixes.
Jewel may be magical or rare.
Magical Base: All items must be magical. (Not rare, unique, set, crafted, etc.)
All recipes work with the normal, exceptional, or elite version of the item type. Use the excep or elite if you want higher defense or damage.

Runes: Until Thul 3x Same rune

Other Usefull Graphic for Cubing:

Gamble

general: ilvl = Clvl +4/-5.

Circlets add an oddity to this, with their mlvl. This is a bonus that makes all types of circlets get higher level affixes than other items gambled by the same character.
Circlets: 3
Coronets: 8
Tiaras: 13
Diadems: 18

Thus, a coronet gambled by a level 70 character would have at an ilvl of 65 - 74 and thus get bonuses as high as 73 - 82. To have a guaranteed chance at +2 skills (Alvl 90) when gambling coronets, a character would have to be 87 (87 - 5 + 8 = 90).

Optimal levels for gamble (items for Crafting):
Magical Amulets for +3 skills + suffix 65
Rare circlets +2 charskills 92+
Rare coronets +2 charskills 87+
Rare normal quality boots for trires + 30 frw 55
Rare exceptional quality boots for trires + 30 frw 99 (as high as possible)
Rare Crystal Sword fools + ias 60
Rare Military Pick fools + ias 64
Rare Amulets for +2sk 95+
Rare Amulets high chance on good roll 93+

Items that Reduce Vendor Prices (Gamble Prices):

Edge Runeword: Tir, Tal, Amn. This works in three-socket bows & crossbows. == 15% reduced
Gheeds Fortune GC == 10-15% reduced

7. Itemlvl / Monsterlvl / Arealvl / TC / Qlvl ( can be confusing )

Terms:
Monsterlvl (mlvl) = Level of the Monster
Arealvl (Alvl) = Level of the whole Area eg. Chaos Sanctum
Itemlvl (Ilvl) = Level of the Item dropped defined by mlvl (mlvl=ilvl)
Qualitylvl (Qlvl) = Predefined Value by the Game to put items into a "Rarity Category" aka Treasure Class
Treasure Class (TC) = Predefined Values by the Game that put Items into a Category for dropping "Rarity Category" working as a dropping Pool for each Monster

Some Basics:
Base item quality levels (qlvl) and Treasure Class (TC) basics
1. Every item has a qlvl (quality level) for the base item. These are set by the game definitions.
2. The base item qlvls are used by the game to classify which TC (Treasure Class) it belongs to.
3. TCs are from 3 to 87 in steps of 3.
4. Each TC contains all items with a qlvl <= the TC. Ie, TC 3 contains all items with a qlvl of 1-3, TC 6 contains all items with a qlvl of 4-6 etc.
5. Each TC also contains all TCs with a lower number, meaning TC 87 contains all items.
6. Important! TCs ONLY relates to base items. Take this on trust for now and read on.

Monster TCs - will be talked later about
1. All normal monsters have TC = their mlvl (their monster level). mlvl (normal Monsters) = area level (Alvl).
2. Champions have TC = mlvl = Alvl +2, random bosses and minnions are mlvl = Alvl +3
3. Superuniques and Act bosses have predefined TCs which are unrelated to their mlvl.
4. All Monsters can Drop their TC and lower

TCs for Uniques and set items
1. The TC for a unique or set item is the same as the TC for a cracked version. Always.
2. However, set items and unique items also have one additional restriction. This is an individual Qlvl [...]
3. This Qlvl is the same for an entire set, whereas each individual unique item has a Qlvl set in the game item code.
3. Note that the Qlvl can be greater, lesser or equal to the qlvl of the base item.
4. The Qlvl does not determine which TC the item goes into, but it determines the minimum monster level required to drop it.
5. This only causes a problem where a monster has the required TC to generate the base item, but NOT the required mlvl to drop the unique. A well known example is Pindleskin. He drops from TC 87 (defined by the game as he is a super unique monster), but he is only mlvl 86. Even though he drops from the highest possible TC in the game, he is unable to generate the three uniques that have a Qlvl of 87. (Azurewrath, Tyreal's Might and Arachnid Mesh). Arachnid is actually a good example here as it is actually in TC 63 (Spiderweb Sash base item is qlvl 61). Lots of monsters can drop the base item but cannot drop the unique version because it requires mlvl 87.
6. When the quality roll passes, but the mlvl is not high enough to drop the unique or set version, the game drops a trippel durability rare item instead of the unique (failed unique), or a double durability magic item instead of the set item (failed set). This also happens if the quality roll passes but there is NO applicable unique or set item to pick at all.

Easy Try to explain:
- Each Base Item (White Items, eg. Phase Blade = Qlvl 73) have a Qualitylvl (Qlvl) given by the game.
- This Qlvl decides into which Treasure Class (TC) bracket the item goes (eg. Phase Blade has TC=75, so its higher then the Qlvl)
- A Monster must be atleast Monsterlvl (Mlvl >= TC) to drop your desired item (eg. you want to drop Phase Blade Qlvl=73/ TC =75 then mlvl must be >=75)
- Uniques can have different (also pre givenby Game) Treasure Classes resulting in Monsters beeing able to drop the Base item but not the Unique ( look above @ Spiderweb Sash / Arach )

More about Monster level and Treasure Class:
Monster Levels
- Regular monsters: mlvl = Alvl
- Champions (all species): mlvl = Alvl + 2
- SUs (Super Uniques), Uniques (and every minion): mlvl = Alvl + 3

Exceptions
- Normal uses mlvls found in the game files rather than the area level based values
- Blood Raven (88), Griswold (84), Radament (83), The Summoner (80), Izual (86), Nihlathak (95), the Act Bosses (75, 88, 87, 94, 99: sorted a1-a5), and the Ubers have predefined mlvls
- here is a list of all Superuniques Including Act Bosses:

So "easy" Formula that i tryed to figure for Unique Hunting:
Normal Monsters: if (mlvl = Area Level) >= TC(Base) AND (mlvl = Area Level) >= Qlvl(Unique) then all Uniques and base Items of TC(mlvl) and Qlvl(Unique) can drop !does not include Monsters with pre given TCs such as act Bosses and some Super Uniques!
Some SUs and all Act Bosses TC pre given: if TC(predefined) >= Qlvl of Base AND mlvl(predefined) >= Qlvl of Unique (if Qlvl(Unique)>=Qlvl(Base) ) then all Uniques and base Items of TC(predefined) and Qlvl(Unique) can drop

Here a Link to all Treasure Classes and Included Items: https://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Treasure_Classes#Treasure_Class_78_.28TC_78.29
Keep in Mind Amulets, Rings, Jewels, Charms have "Special" Treasure Classes explained here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=23968013&f=87
Runes got Rune Groups will be talked about later.

Act 1 Hell: Gul/Vex (r25-r26)
Act 2 Hell: Ohm/Lo (r27-r28)
Act 3 Hell: Sur/Ber (r29-r30)
Act 4 Hell: Jah/Cham (r31-r32)
Act 5 Hell: Zod (r33)

A few monster types have higher odds of dropping runes because they can not drop armor or weapons, and thus spit out more runes since they have fewer other possible drops.
These include Wraiths, Finger Mages, Vulture Demons, Willowisps, and the Swarm.
These monsters are worth harvesting while rune hunting, but they spawn infrequently and in underwhelming numbers, so few players will find it worth the effort for the slight increase in the odds of finding runes.

Monster level Needed for Runes

Rune Drop Graphic:

Magicfind

Basics:
Basically, Magic Find makes more of the items that drop be magical or better (Rare/Set/Unique).
If you have 100% +MF, if an item dropped normally had a 10% chance to be magical, it will now have a 20% chance.
You won't get more items dropping, but the ones that do drop will be better items. More players in a game = more item drops, so you want to try and combine the +MF with a big MP game for the best results.

Magic find has diminishing returns

Runes and Magicfind
Rune hunting is somewhat simplified by the fact that Magic Find is of no benefit (or penalty) to rune finding.
So a character truly out to find runes can suit up in all his/her best killing gear, without giving a thought to Magic Find.
This isn't highly recommended, since magic find improves the odds of finding Unique and Set items that are useful or that can be traded.
but purely from a rune hunting point of view, magic find is useless, and worse than useless if using the MF equipment slows a character's overall killing speed.

Using +10% experience gained Anni and killing Baal + Minions each Run:
Level ---- Exp-Break ---- Exp for Next Lvl -- Exp per Run --- How many Runs

90 ----- 1,618,470,619 ----- 146,072,446 ------ ca 5.5 mil -------- 27
91 ----- 1,764,543,065 ----- 159,218,965 ------ ca 3.85 mil ------- 42
92 ----- 1,923,762,030 ----- 173,548,673 ------ ca 2.2 mil -------- 79
93 ----- 2,097,310,703 ----- 189,168,053 ------ ca 1.65 mil ------- 115
94 ----- 2,286,478,756 ----- 206,193,177 ------ ca 880k ----------- 235

98 ----- 3,229,426,756 ----- 291,058,498 ------ ca 70k ------------ 4135
99 ----- 3,520,485,254

Periods For Levels In Baal Runs(if 1baal run=4mins)
89-90 = 40runs = 2hours 40mins
90-91 = 60runs = 4hours
91-92 = 80runs = 5hours 20mins
92-93 = 120runs = 8hours
93-94 = 180runs = 12hours
94-95 = 330runs = 22hours
95-96 = 550runs = 37hours
96-97 = 1000runs = 67hours
97-98 = 3000runs = 201hours

Player Count:
The player setting gives account of how many players are present in one game.
It has impact on monsters' hit points, experience gained and drops.
The default player setting is 1. However, with every player joining a multiplayer game the player setting is increased by one up till a maximum of 8

EXP Gain Increase:
Code
Player setting XP
1 100%
2 150%
3 200%
4 250%
5 300%
6 350%
7 400%
8 450%

Effect on Item Find
- the player setting will not affect the item quality
- but will affect the amount of items dropped by reducing the Chance on a "Nodrop"

Using this Formula:
NewNoDrop=int( ProbSum/(1/((NoDrop/(NoDrop+ProbSum))^N)-1) ),
where N=int(1+AdditionalPlayers/2+ClosePartiedPlayers/2),
AdditionalPlayers — the number of all additional players in the game, where the monster is killed,
ClosePartiedPlayers — the number of players in your party near you (not far than two screens away),
ProbSum=Prob1+Prob2+Prob3+...+Prob10,
int — operation of truncating fractional part of a number.

So how many Players is best?
This looks pretty complicated, so for the sake of comprehensibility let's just say:

- For normal monsters: The more players, the more drops.

- For Super Uniques (like Pindleskin), Uniques and Champions: player setting is irrelevant.
- Super Uniques will always drop two items.
- Uniques will always drop one item.
- Champions will always drop one item.

- Bosses: "nodrop" will be reduced to zero for 5 unpartied players or 3 near players in the same party.
Note: The formula implies, that for unpartied players (and simulated players via the Players X Command) only every second additional players has impact on drop rates. So the steps for more drops are players 3, players 5 and players 7.
In other words: players 8 and players 7 have the same drop rates, players 6 and 5, players 4 and 3, and players 2 and 1. Note that the amount of Experience gained and monsters' Hit Points are nonetheless different for each player setting (as stated above).

So cunclusion:
- For Leveling Player 8 is best since it has highest EXP+

for Item Search (Mf)
- first of all KillSpeed > All
- then Steps are 3, 5 , 7 While 7 has a rather slow TTK (TimeToKill)
- Best is Player: 3 or 5 depending on your Killspeed while 5 has best Bossdrops
