I came home later than I expected today, but my daily quest was to play 3 games as any Assassin hero for 300 gold. I was able to complete that in about 40 minutes playing two games with Kerrigan and one game with Cassia. Nothing too complicated. I'm not sure if I would've been able to do it if it were play 8 games for 800 gold. I'd have probably found a way out of pure motivation and desire, but I'm feeling so tired right now and I still want to solo a few levels on Ladder Slasher before I call it a night.

Tomorrow is Friday and I'm trying to take it easy and relax this weekend. Heroes of the Storm is my favorite PC game to play at the moment. At least until Season 20 for Diablo 3 goes live in about three weeks. I still haven't decided if I'll play Season 20 on the Nintendo Switch, PC or both. I'll probably just play it on the Nintendo Switch because it will be easier for me to participate in Season 20 playing in handheld mode while in bed or away from home. And then when I'm home I can play Heroes of the Storm and Ladder Slasher.

It's tough for me to juggle three games at once. I can't grind away like I used to. I never thought I'd still be playing video games at my age.

My overall stats at the moment: Player level 378 with 22,457 total takedowns, 2,122 wins and 1,110 MVP awards. My top four played heroes are Cassia with 368 games, Xul at 279 games, The Lost Vikings with 203 games and Rexxar at 197 games played. Rexxar is really fun to play and I can see myself surpassing all of my other heroes with him in due time. My Kerrigan is just outside the top four with 178 games. My total games played is 2,187 so I've lost 65 games total for an overall winning percentage of 97 %. I'm averaging 10.7 takedowns per game.

I don't really have any intermediate-term goals. Just personal milestones in the short term like reaching player level 400 and saving up my in-game gold. The roster on Heroes of the Storm is so massive and I still need to unlock a lot of heroes. I'm going to unlock Sgt. Hammer for 7,000 gold tonight or tomorrow. I'm currently at 6,930 gold. It's going to set me back, again, but well worth it to add another full time playable hero.

Somebody in the game asked how I had a 97 % winning percentage? Team work makes the dream work in any MOBA. I simply do what it takes to win!

My weekend playing Heroes of the Storm went very well to say the least. My daily quests were play 3 games as a Bruiser or Tank hero for 300 gold on Friday, play 8 games for 800 gold on Saturday and win 3 games for 600 gold on Sunday. I just finished all of it right now and it's barely 6:15 a.m. Now I can enjoy the rest of my day and rest up for Monday's daily quest.

I decided to save my in-game gold and I'm nearing 10,000 pretty soon. I'll just save up to 20,000 and unlock two of the more expensive heroes that I don't have on my roster yet. I may play a little more today to try out some heroes I'm not any good at playing like Whitemane and Yrel. Those two heroes have always intrigued me but I just haven't learned their skill rotation or playstyle yet.

One of my friends is trying to recruit me to League of Legends but I'm loyal to Activision Blizzard and Heroes of the Storm. It's my favorite PC game right now!

It's just another manic Monday because my daily quest is simply to play 2 games as a StarCraft hero for 200 gold. That's usually as easy as apple pie with Kerrigan, but I'm having some internet issues at the moment due to the heavy rain and thunderstorm passing through my area this early in the morning. I did finish one game already with some unusual lag, and I still racked up a nice killing spree with 12 kills and 13 assists. Another MVP award for the beautiful Kerrigan. I may wait for the weather to improve before I play the second game but I have all day to do it so it's not going to be a problem.

I'm thinking of unlocking Mephisto for 10,000 gold. He's a legendary hero and one of the few Diablo heroes I haven't unlocked or mastered yet. I've been wanting to play Mephisto, consistently, for quite some time. I think he has some interesting abilities. His Q is skull missile, W is lightning nova and E is Shade of Mephisto. It seems easy enough to learn but I'll need some repetition to become really good with him.

Mephisto's trait (Lord of Hatred) will lower the cooldown of all his basic abilities per enemy hero hit. That's a very nice trait I'd say. When I clicked on Mephisto in the game right now he had an awesome voice over and said, "Align yourself with my power and reap wondrous rewards." Sure thing, big Meph! I plan to.

Win 3 games for 600 gold was my daily quest for Tuesday. I just finished winning two games with Zarya and one game with Varian. I just surpassed 11,000 gold and can unlock any legendary hero that I don't have on my roster yet. Most of them cost 10,000 gold. I'm still leaning toward Mephisto but I'm also considering Orphea, Qhira and Anduin, who is the son of Varian the King. Usually it makes me feel good when I can unlock multiple heroes at once so I may save up to 20,000 gold beforehand. I want to reward myself for all the victories that I've been compiling like a MOBA champion.

Anduin doesn't seem to be anything like his father though. Varian can hack and slash with ferocity and is a melee machine with his twin blades. Just a fun hero to play because he can dive lanes and win most areas of the map. The only thinking involved is how to avoid being ambushed. He's a bruiser that feels like a tank and assassin built in one with his many offensive attacks that you can buff as you level up during a match. Anduin is a healer who relies on his ranged healing tactics. He has some strong burst healing abilities that can save allies from a tough spot.

Healers aren't my first choice in most games. Especially in a MOBA. I like to be the one battling on the front lines where all the action is.

Taking a quick glance at my map record (battlegrounds) on Heroes of the Storm. Updated after today's gameplay.

1. Alterac Pass: 172-1 (99.4 %)
2. Infernal Shrines: 133-1 (99.3 %)
3. Towers of Doom: 130-1 (99.2 %)
4. Dragon Shire: 214-2 (99.1 %)
5. Garden of Terror: 129-3 (97.7 %)
6. Blackheart's Bay: 167-4 (97.7 %)
7. Cursed Hollow: 194-6 (97 %)
8. Battlefield of Eternity: 184-6 (96.8 %)
9. Warhead Junction: 120-5 (96 %)
10. Sky Temple: 206-10 (95.4 %)
11. Braxis Holdout: 123-6 (95.3 %)
12. Tomb of the Spider Queen: 122-6 (95.3 %)
13. Hanamura Temple: 101-5 (95.3 %)
14. Volskaya Foundry: 158-9 (94.6 %)

My top three favorite maps are Alterac Pass, Infernal Shrines and Dragon Shire. I perform very well on all three battlegrounds. I'm surprised I'm not doing a lot better with the Hanamura Temple map. That's also a fun map that I'd probably place in my top five. I try my best not to lose with any map, but sometimes I don't have the best teammates and the opposition is just too strong. But even then I'll always lay all the blame on myself during any loss.

Sometimes I've gotta tip my cap to the other team and say "good game!" because tasting defeat will often motivate me to improve.

I just unlocked Mephisto for 10,000 gold. It feels good to expand my roster with the Lord of Hatred. Now I've got to figure out how to play him at a top tier level. Earlier today I completed my daily quest which was win 3 games for 600 gold. I've been getting that one a lot lately and that's the best one possible because it doesn't require a lot of effort and it's the second most gold you can obtain from a daily quest. I can win three games in my sleep with Rexxar which is what I did. I won the MVP award twice during the three games. My Misha is a wrecking machine and the greatest companion I've had in any game!

Browsing some comments on the official Heroes of the Storm forums, I believe the current Toy Story 2 winter event has been extended into April. At that time we'll likely receive a new hero to go along with whatever the new spring event is. That seems pretty cool to me because I wasn't able to play much of this winter event from November to February. I've got time to roll my dice and race across that fun toy board a handful of times for extra rewards and loot chests.

Anyway, it's time to for me to put my game face on and become a force with Mephisto. This should be an interesting experience. I'm always nervous every time I try to learn a new hero. Hopefully I can find a Diablo friend to team up with. I want to become the new bash brothers and take down every enemy hero in my path. Keep an eye out for the prime evils of the Nexus!

In only my third game with Mephisto I suffered a rare loss. It was on the Sky Temple battleground which I'm not too fond of. I now have a whopping 11 losses on that map which is way too much for my high standards. I just haven't gotten comfortable with Meph's abilities quite yet. Play 2 games as a Diablo hero for 200 gold was my daily quest on this beautiful and cold Thursday morning. After losing with Mephisto, which leaves me feeling extra motivated and fuels me to dominate again, I completed both games with Xul the Necromancer. I've got a perfect 100 % winning rate with him at 281-0.

Moving forward on Heroes of the Storm I think I just want to dominate and win playing the heroes I haven't lost with like Xul (281-0) and Rexxar (225-0). It's cool if I can expand my expertise and learn every hero like a proven champion (I'm definitely open minded), but realistically some heroes just don't feel right when I play them. I have a certain playstyle that I greatly enjoy, and I like to dive into the lanes and play aggressively. I often overextend but on the heroes I'm a pro with I'm able to escape any tough situation.

People didn't nickname me "Ryan the Rhino" for nothing. I take this MOBA very seriously and I hate to lose. I'll be back at it stronger than ever!

It's Friday (booyah!) and my daily quest is to play 3 games as a healer or support hero for 300 gold. It looks like a good day for me to play some more Zarya, because she's an awesome hero and has become one of my favorites to play. Aleksandra Zaryanova, also known as the defender of Russia. Her voice lines are well done and my favorite is when she says, "Do you even lift?" It's quite comical when I say it near a bigger hero like Deathwing, Diablo or the Butcher.

Zarya is an Overwatch hero representing the Nexus with all her feminine power and energy destruction. She's listed as a support hero with an easy difficulty when it comes to learning how to play. I discussed her earlier in my blog but her three primary abilities are particle grenade (Q), personal barrier (W) and shield ally (E).

You can literally turn her into a tank or bruiser with good survivability if you time your shields right for you and your teammates. She's also good at pushing lanes and destroying keeps and forts with her particle cannon which unleashes a steady energy beam. Her heroic abilities are graviton surge and expulsion zone, both of which launch a gravity bomb and either push the enemies near you or away from you, depending on which strategic approach you take.

I'm really good at playing Zarya because she offers a little bit of everything that I like. Decent damage, good team player and survivability.

My passion and devotion for Heroes of the Storm is about to be tested in terms of balancing my time management. Season 20 for Diablo 3 starts on Friday, March 13. I still haven't decided if I'm going to play this upcoming season for D3, and on what platform should I spend some precious time doing so? I have Diablo 3 on both the PC and Nintendo Switch. I had actually completed all of the seasonal journey and objectives during Season 19 on my Nintendo Switch.

If only I still had the energy of a teenager and I could just game incredibly hard 24-7 this wouldn't be a problem, but at my age I've got to be smart about how I spend my free time because it can affect both my mental and physical health if I grind away on multiple PC games. I'm leaning towards playing Season 20 for Diablo 3 on the Nintendo Switch, because I can catch up in handheld mode while playing from my bed or even if I'm away from home. It's more relaxing and fun to do because I can game pretty much anywhere. I can rack up paragon points without even realizing it.

With PC gaming I tend to take things more seriously and put forth a lot more effort. With Heroes of the Storm, for example, I pour my heart and soul into it. People will laugh and ask me why can't I just play multiple PC games at once? I guess I could do that and not worry about my health, but I wouldn't be nearly as good if I spread around my energy and effort. I like to be really good at something and focus all my attention on it.

Even playing Heroes of the Storm everyday again I'm still finding a few minutes a day, sometimes an hour, to solo some Ladder Slasher on the side. I've got to decide what I want to do. If my heart wants it I'll go for it. If it makes me smile and feel good then that happiness and joy is all I'm really after. I respect what other people think but at the end of the day I have to do what makes me happy.

I'd like to play Diablo IV (4) when it comes out one day. Lilith is going to be awesome! I just hope I'm still as energetic and excited about gaming at that time.
