So which stats should I be looking for on items?

Strength, dex, magic luck, enhanced effect, intelligence, it really depends on the item it spawns on.
If you find anything over 50 ee or 13 dex/int/str pm me it and ill let you know if its got any value.
For now you just want an ee weapon, an ee armour (scale or leather) and a stat charm (str for swords/clubs, dex for daggers, staves, and either for axes).

I do have to note, HC is like any other game platform. Should you die, you loose the character, any gained proficiency, and the gear on it permanantly. a wise choice is to town and regen/shrine at no less than 50% life on HC.


you can create up to 8 characters for each respective core (Softcore/Hardcore), and to start i would recommend to use a few of the characters to mule your out of level gear. you can transfer amoungst your mules/characters via the in game marketplace until you decide wether youd want to purchase a vault subscription.

I hope to see you on hc we are a small group in comparison to sc, gear is far more limited, but such goes with the challenge.

I’ll keep that in mind ! I’ll try SC first to make sure I understand the game well and then take the challenge of HC

Another question came to my mind, does being in guild benefit you in anyway in Ladder Slasher?

there are pro's to being in a ladder slasher based guild. or even a guild that pays per guild point earned. some guilds on sc can offer loaner gear once they trust you enough; or, have enough of a saved item base for new comers that they can supply with gear. as for the purpose of guild points, there really isnt one.. other than to state that you have completed the game xxx amount of times, or passed your character to the next class.

aside from that, a guild is typically a good group of friends or peers you like to associate with, or players you climb with on a regular basis.

as a newcomer to jsp and slasher id suggest to find a guild that will pay per guild point so you can purchase the better gear needed. you'll learn of regular players that youd like to associate with, and typically from there get an invite to join a higher rated LS guild.
