If I have EE on a charm will it make me do more damage when I slash something with my sword or is we on a charm only good for casting?

I'm a noob and don't know what kind of charms to wear on my rogue. This is my first character but I want to do more damage

The ee on charm will only boost the charm itself, dmg or healing. You need dex or str (crit/pierce/power shot) on charms to boost your weapon

This... but not if the charm is put in the ACC slot, it has to be the MAIN slot for the stats/mods to count.

I found a lot of great and useful information reading this. In my opinion it is a requirement to understand how Ladder Slashers plays and how to successfully climb with a roughed up team.

This post is probably one of the best posts that I have seen since I came back.

The first link is old and the vid clips no longer exist, but, if they did, they would still be current.
The second link provides choices for a new player and what they want to test out for themselves.

There are just simple rules to starting out:

#1 Enhanced Effect items are ALWAYS the best way to go, and Stat items increase damage or heal capacity. (For faster runs solo / group)
#2 Making forum gold, sell off junk items @ 1fg on MP (if they don't sell, use as shrinables or just trash) and make trade threads for items with the Best EE / stat for that Tier (Level) item and hope someone posts a decent offer.

Solo vs Group... it has changed with Whistle and group runs, a hell of a lot faster to get to MQ and increase the speed to UNLOCK your character... solo is different, use the best gear and climb faster YES, but normally when you know there isn't a group climb during your timezone, so PM or post actively for group runs, this gives you recognition as long as your ACTIONS are not low (well that is SC for you, and for some on HC that play SC more than HC).

Get to know the people in group by using /who (enter character name here to find out username of that character) ... and you will find out whom is on at the same time you are online playing LS... and also find out what Guild they are in... you can also use /who (etc) on each of those in the group to see Guild / JSP username and make more friends by being friendly, active and keeping honest when playing with them.

I know the above is long, but you choose for yourself as you carry on playing LS.
