Havent played since like 2010ish - didnt play much back then either think I climbed to mq like 3-4 times.

Starting as a fighter, mainly solo play is what im intending.
Anything I need to know? Catacombs seem a bit different now

swords are good, i suggest you buy some off market place and maybe kinda collect ones you find. Same with some armors.

you can town without losing map of catacombs, and you dont have to move you can whistle for monsters as well. Other than that, pretty much same. No more arena as you probably noticed.

I figure stat points are still stick to weapon so STR for swords
Just don't know what ideal abilities are

Axes, daggers, ee medium armors, dex robes, dex charms.
Don't worry about casting til warlock, if you get there.

Dex robes and charms can be upgraded every 10-15 levels. 45 dex is more than adequate to mq with.

EE medium armors can be upgraded every 10 levevls. 60-80 ee is fine upto level 25, then ~100 ee.

Axes and daggers can be 60 -80 ee upto 25, then ~100ee after, and should be upgraded every 5 levels upto 25, and every 10 levels after.

Something kind of like this:
Spend 1-5fg on tier iii items (50 ee axe/dagger, 50 ee med armor, 13 dex robe/charm)
Spend 3-10 on tier iv items (60 ee axe/dagger, no armor upgrade needed, no stat upgrade needed)
Spend 5-20 on tier v items (70 ee axe/dagger, 80 ee med armor, 20 dex robe/charm)
Spend 10-40 on tier vi items (80 ee axe/dagger, no armor upgrade needed, no stat upgrade needed)
Spend 10-50 on tier vii items (90 ee axe/dagger, 90 ee med armor, 25-30 dex robe/charm)
Spend 25-50 on tier viii items (90 ee axe/dagger, no armor upgrade needed, no stat upgrade needed)
Spend 25-100 on tier ix items (90 ee axe/dagger, 100 ee med armor, no stat upgrade needed)
Spend 50 -100 on x items (100 ee axe/dagger, no armor upgrade needed, 30-35 dex robe/charm)
Spend 50-100 on xi items (no weapon upgrade needed, 100 ee med armor, no stat upgrade needed)
Spend 100-200 on xii items (100 ee axe/dagger, no armor upgrade needed, no stat upgrade needed)
Spend 100-200 on xiii items (no weapon upgrade needed, 100 ee med armor, 35 -40 dex robe/charm)
Spend 100-250 on xiv items (100 ee axe/dagger, 100 ee med armor, no stat upgrade needed)

Not too positive about the supply of this gear above level 40.


Might be a little bit of a grind while trying to get the initial setup, but doable.
If you group climb just make sure to be an active clicker and, if capable, tank.
Don't need robes til monk.

I prefer rouge as feeder as they can use daggers, axes and medium armors. Stat 75 vit, rest to dex.

This is just an idea to get you started. I'm sure others have their own opinions.

Oh ya, and, if necessary, "/set easy 1" can be helpful.

Also, if you believe the hype about finding a great item within your first 5 climbs (I don't) it could be able to fund this entire setup and then some.
